We have an amazing tradition going that all of our students look forward to every year, and that is All Arts Day!
Volunteer Artists have curated creative hands on art activities for all of our students and the preparations are under way. This is where we need your help!

This week is National Teacher Appreciation Week!

Barnum PTO wants to show all of the Amazing Barnum Educators just how much we are parents appreciate the love, care, and dedication they put in every single day for OUR kids. Early mornings, late nights, coaching, lesson planning, grading, brainstorming - all in the name of providing our kids with the best education and opportunities.

Participating Barnum Students will create a personalized pledge page, where you can donate based on their individual reading goals through the end of this month or you can donate a flat amount!

100% of all pledges and Donations will Stay with Barnum PTO - Funding speakers, field trips, school supplies, enrichment activities and more!

An E-Learning Day snowed in and cozy is the perfect opportunity to join the PTO's First Annual Read-A-Thon!!

Support Barnum PTO and student literacy this I Love To Read Month by signing your student up! Follow the Link or QR code for your students school, help them create a pledge page personal to them, and ask friends and family to support our school in logging HUNDREDS of minutes read and contributing money directly back into our school.

📣 Join Us at the Upcoming PTO Meeting! 📣

We’re excited to share that Gracie from First Witness will be joining our PTO meeting on Monday, January 12 to present Safe and Strong Families

This brief presentation will give families an overview of the Safe and Strong classroom lessons that students will participate in later this month. Safe and Strong is a thoughtfully developed program that provides age-appropriate language and practical safety tools to help children from Preschool through Middle School navigate safe, healthy relationships.

This program also aligns with Erin’s Law, supporting our shared commitment to student safety, empowerment, and prevention through education. We hope you’ll join us to learn more, ask questions, and partner with us in supporting our students and families.

🎬 Volunteers Needed – Community Movie Night (Jan. 3rd)! 🎬
We’re hoping to kick off the new year with a Community Movie Night, but we need your help to make it happen! We’re currently looking for volunteers to help with ticket-taking, selling prepackaged snacks, and helping ensure students are accompanied by a chaperone (older siblings OK).

Before we can begin advertising this event, we need to know we have enough volunteer support in place — even short shifts make a big difference!

✨ We’re also seeking a PTO Secretary!
This important role helps keep our PTO running smoothly by taking and sharing meeting minutes, supporting social media engagement, and submitting building use requests in partnership with the district.

If you’re looking for a meaningful way to support our school community in the new year, we’d love to hear from you! 💙

Barnum Public Schools just wouldn't run quite as smooth without the fantastic support of our SPED department!

Helping every single student learn in the way that works for them and fostering impactful relationships - our Special Education Teachers embody the goal of supporting every student, every day.
