The Barnstable Professional Firefighters Local 3276 is the unionized members of the Barnstable Fire Department. It is made up of the 22 suppression staff members of the department and is heavily involved in the community in fundraising, donations of money, time

and items. The participation, views and support of the union does not reflect the support, endorsement or views of the Barnstable Fire Department. Fundraising for Local 3276 is based on members union dues, annual raffles, fundraising events and most importantly generous donations throughout the year. The local gives back to the community in several ways including annual monetary donations to:

Toys for tots
Muscular Dystrophy
Barnstable Village Holiday Stroll Chili booth
Annual donation to Pan Mass
P-Town Run to the Top- Cape Cod Firefighter and EMS Cancer Relief Fund
Barnstable Village New Years "SPLASH" sponsor
Barnstable Highschool After Prom Celebration
Barnstable Highschool Boys Hockey Boosters Club

The best in the business!!

The Barnstable Fire Department likes to recognize our members during the month of their anniversary with our department. This time its not a firefighter or officer we are recognizing. Today is Karen Hickey's anniversary with the Barnstable Fire Department. Karen works as our Confidential Executive Assistant to the Fire Chief. She has been with us for the last 12 years and we look forward to many more. It is an understatement to say that Karen is what makes this fire department better. Thank you Karen for all you do for us everyday.

Outstanding job, PST Gomes and members of Group 1!

On July 23, PST McKenzie Gomes answered a 911 call from retired Orleans Fire-Rescue Chief William Quinn. Throughout the call, McKenzie demonstrated exceptional professionalism, empathy, and efficiency while gathering the critical information needed to dispatch the appropriate resources. Bill Quinn, who is just fine, thanked her on his personal page, and allowed us to share his message.

McKenzie's actions reflect the high standard of service our Regional Emergency Communications Center strives to provide.
