Thrilling Finish for First
Annual Tail of the Tiger Croquet Tournament

BARNET, Vt. The fans were on their feet for the exciting finale of the 1st
Annual TOT Croquet Tournament, part of the festivities for the 40th
Anniversary celebration on Memorial Day weekend. The team of Adrianne Tharp and
Jim Wilton overcame the lead of dominant player Susan Greenleaf to take the
title. Susan had led the six-person flight for the entire round, her ball lying
between the last two wickets, just a foot away from the finishing post, when
Jim slashed an airborne 25-footer that cleared the next to last wicket and smote
Susan’s ball, giving Jim three strokes to reach the finishing post for the win.

Representing the Providence/Boston croquet axis, Jim and Adrianne took the
first prize, a complimentary admission to the 2010 Applied Mindfulness
Conference, July 22 – 25,http://www.tailofthetiger.org/documents/TOTT_AppliedMindfulnessConference_4223.pdf

Runner-up Susan Greenleaf received a fashionable Tail of the Tiger cap
(available at the Karmê Chöling Store) as her consolation prize.
