❀️ A HEARTFELT MESSAGE FROM GRACE UPON GRACE: ANOTHER GRACE MOMENT ❀️
We want to be completely honest with our community.
Grace Upon Grace: Another Grace Moment is at a crossroads.
We are very close to having to make the heartbreaking decision to close our doors.
Our rent alone is $1,750 every month, and that does not include utilities, insurance, supplies, or the other expenses that come with keeping our doors open.
The truth is, we aren't bringing in enough money through the store to cover the rent.
And we want to be clear β€” it's not because people aren't coming through the door.
People ARE coming in.
People are looking.
People are talking with us.
People are seeing what we're trying to build.
But too often, people leave without purchasing anything.
And we're not saying that to blame anyone. We understand that money is tight for a lot of families right now. We understand that everyone has different needs, different budgets, and different reasons for shopping β€” or not shopping β€” at a thrift store.
But we need to understand something:
What does our community actually want from us?
If we're going to continue, we need to make sure we're providing something that our community truly wants and needs.
So we're asking you β€” please be honest with us.
πŸ›οΈ What would make you want to shop at our store?
πŸ‘• What kinds of clothing do you want to see?
🏠 What household items are you looking for?
πŸ’° Would different pricing make a difference?
🎨 Would special sales, $1 days, fill-a-bag sales, or themed sales bring you in?
πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§ Would you like more children's items?
πŸ‘ž Shoes?
πŸ‘œ Purses and accessories?
πŸ›‹οΈ Furniture?
πŸ“š Books?
🧸 Toys?
🏫 School supplies?
πŸŽ„ Seasonal items?
Or is there something completely different that you would like to see?
And beyond the merchandise...
What would make Grace Upon Grace feel like a place you WANT to come to?
Would you like community nights?
Workshops?
Family activities?
Resource events?
A community closet?
A place to sit and talk?
Special shopping events?
Something we haven't even thought of?
Tell us.
We aren't asking because we have everything figured out.
We're asking because we don't want to close without first listening to the people we opened these doors for.
Grace Upon Grace: Another Grace Moment was never supposed to be "just another thrift store."
Our hope has always been to create a place where people can find resources, find help, find someone willing to listen, and most importantly, find a little bit of grace when they need it.
But good intentions don't pay $1,750 in rent.
We need our community to help us figure out whether there is a way forward.
If you have ever walked through our doors, donated to us, shopped with us, encouraged us, volunteered, shared one of our posts, or simply believed in what we're trying to do β€” we need to hear from you now.
Please comment below.
Tell us what you want.
Tell us what you need.
Tell us what would make you shop.
Tell us what we're missing.
And please don't be afraid to be honest. ❀️
This isn't about defending what we've done. It's about listening, learning, and seeing if we can build something that truly works for our community.
We love this community.
We believe in this mission.
And we're not ready to give up.
But we can't do it alone.
So, Barnesville… what do YOU want to see from Grace Upon Grace?
β€” Grace Upon Grace: Another Grace Moment
Serving our community with compassion, resources, and grace.

❀️ WHAT WE'RE REALLY TRYING TO BUILD β€” AND WHY WE NEED OUR COMMUNITY ❀️
There is something we want our community to understand about Grace Upon Grace: Another Grace Moment.
We are not trying to build just another thrift store.
The thrift store was simply the starting point.
What we're really trying to build is a place for our community.
A place where a person can walk through the door and not feel judged.
A place where a struggling parent can find something their child needs.
A place where someone who doesn't know where to turn can find information and resources.
A place where people can ask for help.
A place where people can sit down and talk.
A place where neighbors can meet one another.
A place where children and families can participate in activities.
A place where local organizations can connect with the people they serve.
A place where people can donate what they no longer need and know that it can help someone else.
A place where someone having a really hard day can walk in and simply hear:
"You're not alone."
That's the vision behind Grace Upon Grace: Another Grace Moment.
The problem is that we've learned something important.
A vision doesn't become a reality just because you believe in it.
It takes a community.
And right now, we need our community.
Not just financially.
We need your ideas.
We need your time.
We need your skills.
We need your connections.
We need your creativity.
We need your feedback.
And yes, when you can, we need you to shop and support the store, because the store is what currently helps us keep the doors open.
But there are so many other ways you can help.
Do you have an idea for a community event?
Tell us.
Do you have a skill you could teach?
Tell us.
Do you know an organization that should partner with us?
Introduce us.
Do you own a local business that could sponsor an event?
Talk to us.
Do you have gently used items that could help someone?
Donate them.
Do you have an hour to volunteer?
We'd love to have you.
Do you have experience with grants, fundraising, social media, marketing, construction, gardening, children's activities, organizing events, or community outreach?
We need you.
Maybe you have no money to give β€” that's okay.
Maybe all you can give us is an idea.
Your idea matters.
Maybe all you can give us is an hour.
Your hour matters.
Maybe all you can do is share one of our posts.
That matters too.
Because what we're trying to build cannot be built by one person sitting inside a thrift store hoping people will come through the door.
It has to be built by a community that decides it wants something better.
We want to create something that belongs to the community.
And that means the community needs to have a voice in what it becomes.
So we're asking you:
What do you want Grace Upon Grace to become?
If you could design a community resource center from the ground up, what would it have?
What would you want your children to be able to do there?
What resources would you want available?
What would make you proud to say, "That's OUR community space"?
We may not have all the answers.
We may not have a huge budget.
We may not have a big building.
But we have a vision.
And we have a whole lot of heart.
What we need now is people willing to help us turn that vision into something real.
Because Grace Upon Grace isn't supposed to be about one person.
It's supposed to be about all of us.
❀️ Help us build something our community can believe in, use, and call their own.
