May is National Foster Care Month 💙

This month, we honor the incredible strength of children and youth in foster care, the families who open their hearts and homes, and the communities that support them along the way.

At Foster Hope Ohio Valley, we believe every child deserves dignity, comfort, and hope — especially during times of transition. Thank you to everyone who helps us make a difference for children in our community.

The 2024 Carroll County Children Services Profile shows that local children continue to experience abuse, neglect, family instability, and removal from their homes through no fault of their own.

Behind every report and every case number is a child facing fear, uncertainty, and major life changes.

Foster Hope Ohio Valley exists to help make those difficult transitions a little less overwhelming by providing essential and comfort items to children entering foster care.

Small things can bring comfort, dignity, and hope when children need it most.

In Guernsey County, local children are facing difficult transitions every single day. Many enter care carrying very few belongings and a great deal of uncertainty.

Foster Hope Ohio Valley is committed to helping make those moments a little less overwhelming by providing essential and comfort items to children entering foster care.

A backpack. A blanket. A stuffed animal.
Simple things can provide comfort, dignity, and hope when a child needs it most.

Right now, children in Belmont County are entering foster care carrying fear, uncertainty, and often very few personal belongings.

At Foster Hope Ohio Valley, our mission is simple: help make that transition a little less overwhelming by providing essential and comfort items to children entering care.

Because something as small as a backpack, blanket, pajamas, or stuffed animal can remind a child they are seen, valued, and not alone.

These are not just numbers.
These are Belmont County children.
