The Barnesville Kiwanis Club is a 501(c)(4) organization serving Lamar County youth through scholarships, sports, literacy, school programs, and seasonal support like the Empty Stocking Fund—investing in the well-being and future of local children. ia, and surrounding communities. For over 75 years, we’ve worked to improve the lives of local youth through hands-on service, fundraising, and partnerships with schools and community organizations. Our efforts support a wide range of impactful programs, including:
🎓 College scholarships for local high school seniors
📚 Youth literacy and education initiatives
⚽ Sponsorship of school and recreational sports
🎄 Holiday assistance through our Empty Stocking Fund
🏆 Recognition programs like STAR Student & Teacher

We had a blast at this years Sheriff Brad White Golf Tournament this morning. Our Barnesville Kiwanis Club members made the putting contest fun! We would like to thank Ava and Gracie from Cowboy Coffee and Katie Jo from The Lighthouse Community Hospice Inc for helping our members out this morning.... We’re excited for tomorrow night’s Playing It Forward: Hold ’Em & Bingo Night! We’ve picked up some great prizes and can’t wait to see everyone.

It’s BYOB, and we’ll have hotdogs fresh off the grill.

There are only 5 Bingo spots left, so be sure to pre-order your tickets if you want to play. We still have several Texas Hold ’Em spots available, and those tickets can be purchased at the door.

The Barnesville Kiwanis Club was honored to host our Annual STAR Student and Teacher Banquet this month, recognizing some of the very best and brightest in Lamar County.

Please join us in congratulating:

• Bobby Hancher and Dr. French – SGES
• Hatcher Woodall and Michael Mosley – LCHS
• Tekay Voong and Pedro Maldonado – Rock Springs

We are especially proud to announce that Tekay Voong earned the highest score in Lamar County and will advance to compete at the State PAGE level. What an incredible achievement!

A heartfelt thank you to Ryran Traylor, our STAR Student Event Chair, for leading this effort and organizing such a meaningful evening. We also appreciate the leadership of our Club President, Chad Bankston, and the continued support of our Kiwanis members who invest in the future of our community.

These students represent the very best of Lamar County, and the teachers they selected remind us just how powerful great educators truly are.

Tickets are officially on sale for our Playing It Forward: Hold ’Em & Bingo Night!

Join the Kiwanis Club of Barnesville and the Barnesville Rotary Club on Saturday, March 14 at the Women’s Clubhouse for an evening of friendly competition and big fun. Whether you’re all in for the $150 Texas Hold ’Em Tournament (with a $1,000 grand prize!) or prefer Bingo starting at $20, this is a night you won’t want to miss.

Poker kicks off at 6:00 PM, Bingo at 6:30 PM. Professional dealers, music, food, prizes, and a great crowd—all for a great cause.

This is a 21+ event, and tickets are limited, so grab yours early!

All proceeds support the Kiwanis Club and Rotary Club of Barnesville and the programs we fund to serve children and families in our community. Let’s play it forward together.
