What a beautiful and uplifting day we had at Relay for Life on Saturday! 💜

We came together to celebrate survivors, honor those we’ve lost, and raise funds for the fight against cancer—and thanks to you, it was a huge success.

Happening Now at Relay for Life!

The energy is high and the spirit is strong at Summers Field Park as we come together to fight cancer and celebrate hope!

Here’s what’s coming up:

Survivor & Warrior Celebration at 3:30 PM – Sponsored by City of Hope. We’ll honor those currently battling cancer and those who have fought in the past with a special tribute.

Opening Ceremony at 5 PM – Don’t miss the Celebration Lap led by survivors and warriors. It’s one of the most inspiring moments of the day.

Luminaria Ceremony at 10 PM – As the park goes quiet and the glow of hundreds of luminaria bags lights the night, we’ll remember those we’ve lost and honor those still fighting.

Come join us—whether you're here to honor a survivor, remember a loved one, or just support the cause, there's still time to be part of something powerful.

Relay for Life THIS Saturday at Summers Field Park!

Join us in supporting the American Cancer Society as we celebrate hope, remember loved ones, and fight back against cancer.

🎗️ What's Happening?

Kids' Park: From noon to 10 PM, kids can enjoy unlimited fun with a $10 wristband.

Survivor and Warrior Celebration at 3:30: City of Hope is sponsoring a celebration for anyone in Lamar County and nearby communities who is currently fighting cancer or has done so in the past. We'd love to have you or your loved one join!

Opening Ceremony at 5 PM: Featuring our Celebration Lap led by inspiring cancer survivors and warriors. Come cheer them on!

Walking Laps: After the opening ceremony, we encourage everyone to walk a few laps. Whether you're walking in honor or in memory of someone, your participation makes a huge difference. Don't worry about staying all night; just walking a few laps contributes to our cause.

Luminaria Ceremony: Led by Pastor Jason Teal, this poignant ceremony will include a silent lap to remember those we've lost. A moment of silence and reflection under the stars.

Closing Ceremony at 11 PM: We will celebrate and award the teams who have raised the most funds in their quest to fight cancer.

Join us and make a difference. Whether you come for an hour or stay till the end, your presence supports lifesaving research and care.

What a busy and incredible week for our Relay for Life community! We've gained three new teams and three new sponsors, bringing us even closer to making a difference.

A BIG thank you to English Trucking and Clear Pay for supporting Jeannie English’s Milk Duds team—your generosity means the world!

We also want to give a huge shoutout to Petro South for their continued support as our Kid’s Park Sponsor! 🎉 Thanks to their generosity, we’re excited to bring inflatables and carnival games for kids to enjoy from noon to 10 PM for just $10 per wristband—a full day of fun for a great cause!

Here are 20 creative fundraising booth ideas for a Relay for Life event:

Food & Drink Fundraisers:
Cake Walk – Sell baked goods or host a cake walk.
S’mores Station – Sell s’mores kits or pre-made treats for participants to enjoy.
Midnight Snack Shack – Offer late-night snacks like popcorn, cookies, or hot cocoa.
Build-Your-Own Ice Cream Sundae – Charge per bowl with a variety of toppings.
Walking Tacos – Serve taco ingredients in a bag of chips for an easy-to-eat meal.
Coffee & Hot Chocolate Bar – Perfect for a late-night caffeine boost; offer flavored syrups and toppings.

Games & Challenges:
Relay Bingo – Charge for bingo cards and give away small prizes.
