We’d like to announce that Chronicles of Rowanon is going to be consolidating and centralizing our social media presence and portals for better efficiency and workload balance, including ceasing to use any venue that does not best serve or represent our community and structure. This is for and in response to the overall health and continued growth of our amazing community of players. With that in mind, we will be shortly moving towards the exclusive use of Discord, namely the official CoR Discord server, as our main community hub with our official website as our foundational information supporting features and a Google-based photo gallery as our event photo album. That being said, this means that we will be closing down and discontinuing the use of our Instagram account, page, and the attached “Citizens of Vorydia” Facebook group.
All event information, announcements, communication, and photo galleries that have been shared on Instagram and Facebook will still be easily accessible and open to our community and interested newcomers on Discord, our website, and Google. We have been operating for quite a few years with these venues being our main portals, and the Facebook/Instagram presence being sparsely-used secondary extensions with very little recorded traffic, so we do not anticipate that this official shift and discontinuation will cause much disturbance in our community.
In light of this, we would ask (and have asked in the past) that any communication between players and staff occur through Discord, website -provided emails, or our various contact forms and not through Facebook Messenger, Instagram, or anything associated with Meta. We will be working to close down the aforementioned venues in the next few days. If anyone has any questions, feel free to reach out to a game master for further clarification.
