Our August Staff Spotlight of the Month is Sharon Downs! Sharon has served Carlisle County Schools as a bus driver in some capacity since November 1998. Throughout her years of service, Sharon has consistently been someone our district can depend on. Most recently, when staffing challenges left our transportation department short-handed, Sharon stepped up without hesitation to cover a vacated route. Even through longer days and summer heat, she has taken on the challenge without complaint and has done an outstanding job. Sharon’s willingness to step up when our students and district needed her most has allowed us to continue providing normal transportation services to every Carlisle County student. Her dependability, dedication, and commitment to our students make her an excellent choice for Staff Spotlight of the Month!

A federal law passed in July 2025 is changing the rules about who can get Medicaid and what some members must do to keep it. You may be affected if you are ages 19 to 64, qualify for Medicaid based on income, and are not exempt.
