October Newsletter! We hope everyone has a good fall break!

Effective today (October 1), new income guidelines as part of the annual cost-of-living adjustment were put in place for SNAP recipients. If you have any questions, contact [email protected] or contact your local Kentucky Department for Community Based Services office.

Note: The dollar amount is not how much one receives per month, but is the new gross income levels based on 200% of the federal poverty level.

We need your help!
Did you know that our funding comes from free lunch numbers? So we rely on families to fill out the household income forms! We still have a list of families that still need to fill it out. We will be sending more forms home today. Please fill these out by October 1st so we can keep serving our students!

Our September and October Staff Spotlight of the Month is Kelsey Carter and Chloe Hudgin!
During the 25-26 school CCES joined the CoTeaching Cohort through the West Kentucky Wducational Cooperative. Chloe and Kelsey were selected to be the pilot coteachers. They were trained along with administration in July and had their first official walkthrough observation at the end of August. The staff from WKEC were so impressed with the work that Chloe and Kelsey had put in that they said they would recommend them to be a model team for the region. Chloe and Kelsey committed to this process of the regular education and special education staff working hand in hand so that the ultimate goal of doing what is best for students is achieved. Thank you both for your dedication to this process but more importantly to students!

If you are interested in Christmas assistance, please contact the STARS Center. You can call at 270-628-3800 Ext. 6030 or message us on parent square. We will be sending out information this week and next week. Classes start on October 12! You must qualify for free/reduced lunch and fill out a household income form!
