Our Missionaries of the Month are Gary and Tami Byrd! "The Byrd’s serve in the city of La Vega, in the heart of the Dominican Republic. It is often referred to as “the seat of Catholocism” in the country. It is a city of about 280,000 people, with only a few Gospel preaching churches. The focus of our ministry is 2 Timothy 2:2 “And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.” We seek to evangelize, disciple and equip spiritual leaders that will reach others for Christ. The Lord has allowed them to plant one church, revitalize another existing church, and now they have established a Haitian mission within La Vega as well. A key part of the strategy is to model and teach the impact of a Godly marriage and parenting on those around you. Tami teaches in a local Christian school, while Gary trains the men and women to disciple and serve in the local church."

Thank you to Johnson Ferry Baptist Church for an incredible week of ministry in Orlando!! We partnered with 6 local churches and several other ministries for an amazing student mission trip!!

Our Missionaries of the Month are Will and Laura Lyon serving the Lord in Ecuador! This week they are sharing with us more about their sending church families! "We are sent out of Trinity Baptist Church in Jacksonville, FL where Tom Messer serves as the pastor. We also have a very close relationship with the church that Laura grew up in, which is Bethel Baptist Church in Richmond Hill, GA where Brian Cooper serves as the pastor."

Our Missionary of the Month is Will and Laura Lyon, Missionaries in Ecuador! This week they are sharing with us about their ministry!: "We serve in Ecuador among an indigenous people group. Our primary ministry is church-planting, which includes evangelism, discipleship, and Bible institute training. We also spend significant time in biblical counseling." Let's keep them and their family in our prayers as they continue to serve the Lord in Ecuador!

Our Missionaries of the Month of April is Jose & Lorena Montejo, serving in Yucatan, Mexico! This week they are sharing with us about where they serve and the ministry they have there!: "We are working in various Mayan communities-such as Chenche, Bokoba, Homún, and Oxkutzkab-in the state of Yucatán, Mexico. We carry out a variety of activities, including evangelism and leadership training. However, our primary focus is providing biblical marriage counseling within church congregations, as there is a significant issue of family breakdown in these communities."

Our Missionary of the Month is Mariela Burgues serving the Lord in the country of Panamá! This week she is sharing with us ways we can connect with her ministry!: "Come on a trip, donate to a special cause, etc.
Mariela is actually working on raising her personal support. She will appreciate if you could pray and consider to join her team of supporters. Please pray God will continue to use her in reaching Young lives for Christ and be a role model to the people she minister daily."

Our Missionary of the Month is Mariela Burgues serving the Lord in the country of Panamá! "Her sending church is “Comunidad Cristiana Plenitud”, in Panamá City where Pastor B. Copping is a great Bible teacher and Spiritual Leader. One of her favorite memories are mission family days, organizing the Christmas play and the pastor’s amazing soup he cooks for special events!"

Our Missionary of the Month is Mariela Burgues serving the Lord in the country of Panamá! "Mariela was born and raised in Uruguay. Her family lives there and she enjoys visiting them when she has a chance. She loves the Lord, went to nursing school and has a degree in recreational coaching.
After working in a hospital and serving at her local church, she is living the dream of using her Medical and coaching skills in the mission field in Panamá. Even when you will see her always coaching, in her free time she loves to play guitar, sing, read and teach the Bible. She celebrates her birthday May, 7th."
