Our Missionaries of the Month are Tim and Dianne Bilbrey serving the Lord as a Church Planting Assistants and Mission Representatives! This week they are sharing with us more about their sending church and ministry! "Lewis Memorial Baptist Church has been a faithful supporter, almost from the beginning of their ministry. When they needed to find a new sending church, Lewis Memorial stepped in to take on that role. LMBC has always shown a heart for missions and the Bilbreys are glad to be a part of their mission family. Tim and Diane also help with the kids ministry on Wednesday nights and with VBS in the summer. During the last VBS, Tim dealt with a third grader that had never been to church. He had no idea who Jesus was and knew nothing about God or the Bible. Which makes it more evident, that even here in the states, it is a mission field. Tim also has led several mission trips for the church. The last one was to Ireland.

They have recently purchased land in North Carolina where they will soon be building a house on. It is not far from Winston Salem, where Faith and her family are based when they are in the states. It will also cut the distance to see TJ’s family nearly in half. This will mean a little more time with the grandkids. Missions will still be part of their lives, even in retirement; serving on the board of Daystar and taking or leading mission trips as the funds come in to allow it. If you or your church is interested in taking a mission trip let Tim know. Tim is also checking into helping with a missionary pilot and mechanic training camp in Alaska. If you need a pulpit supply or help with a Missions Conference, contact Tim for that as well. Once settled, they plan to be involved in a local church as well."

Our Missionaries of the Month are Tim and Dianne Bilbrey serving the Lord as a Church Planting Assistants and Mission Representatives! This week they are sharing with us more about their family! "They have been missionaries for a total of 38 years, beginning by serving overseas in Mexico, Paraguay, and Colombia. The last 12 have been here in the states with Daystar Baptist Missions in the office.
Birthdays are Tim 3/15 and Diane 5/27. The years are not important but were a long time ago. Tim enjoys hunting, target shooting, watching a good movie and gets involved in many construction projects. Besides coming up with many of Tim’s construction projects, Diane enjoys researching family history and has written some family history books and devotionals for the grandkids based on real life family events.
They have 2 children. TJ retired from the military and is now working for the Virginia DMV. He and his wife, Laura, with their kids, Reagan and Mitchell, live near Richmond Va. They are involved in their church and the kids stay busy with choir, band and other school activities. Faith, with her husband, Adam Drake, along with their kids, Oceane, Celeste, August and Nico are missionaries in Togo, West Africa."

Our Missionaries of the Month are Tim and Dianne Bilbrey serving the Lord as a Church Planting Assistants and Mission Representatives! This week they are sharing with us more about their ministry!: "They are currently in Huntington, WV helping a team with an intercity church plant. It was started by their sending church Lewis Memorial Baptist Church. They purchased an old church that had closed after more than 125 years. It is a beautiful building but did need a lot of renovation. Ministries began with a Kids Bible Club as well as serving a meal once a month to first responders. The teens from LMBC also host a summer VBS. A couple years ago Sunday morning services were started and they now have monthly Men and Ladies Bible studies and a monthly community meal where they serve over 200 meals."

Our Missionary of the Month is Natasha Dobson missionary to the Dominican Republic! This week she is sharing with us more about her life and ministry as we continue to pray for her and her ministry!: "I grew up in Iowa but my family moved to Ohio around the time I graduated from high school so that is where I call "home" in the States now. My dad is a pastor in a small town in Ohio, and my mom works in a school. I have three sisters that live in Ohio as well. In the DR I live with my roommate, Lamour, who is also a Las Palmas teacher. She has been my built-in best friend for the last 4 years and I am incredibly thankful that the Lord blessed me with a friend like her to serve alongside daily. I studied Early Childhood Education, Spanish, and Bible at Cedarville University and graduated in 2022. The Lord allowed me to combine these passions when He called me to serve at Las Palmas. In my free time I enjoy playing guitar, singing, biking, longboarding, and traveling."

Our Missionary of the Month is Natasha Dobson serving the Lord in the Dominican Republic! This week she is sharing with us more about her ministry there in the DR!: "I have been serving in the Dominican Republic for the past 4 years. My main ministry is teaching 2nd grade at Las Palmas Christian School. I teach around 36 students each year and I love watching them grow both academically and spiritually throughout the school year. We start school each morning with a devotional time with our class and students participate in Bible classes, chapels, and a spiritual emphasis week each year that give them many opportunities to hear the Gospel and grow in their personal relationship with Christ throughout their time at Las Palmas. I also sing on the praise team at our local church, IBEM. I love helping lead the congregation in worship in our weekly services and in our special programs for Easter and Christmas each year."

Gary and Tami Byrd are our missionaries to the Dominican Republic! This week they are sharing with us the ways that we can connect to their ministry!: "Frequently, churches send groups to visit the Byrd’s to offer encouragement and provide specific skills or talents to the work. In the past, these teams have assisted in Women’s conferences, couples retreats, evangelism, and children’s outreach. They especially like when groups can provide specific training to the church such as teaching the Bible, or evangelism.
Another way, a church or individual can help, is through the sponsorship of our Haitian mission. We have a core group of about 15 young believers, with a pastor in training. Presently, we are looking for a couple of churches to help with the monthly rent for the mission, approximately $300 each month. If you feel the Lord prompting you to be involved, please reach out to me through email: [email protected]."

Our Missionaries of the Month are Gary and Tami Byrd serving the Lord in the Dominican Republic! This week they are sharing with us more about their family and church family! "Tami and Gary have been married for 37 years. They have 7 children, 6 sons and daughters – in law, and 11 grandchildren, all boys. Their children are scattered throughout New Jersey, Georgia, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Missouri. Tami enjoys reading historical fiction, while Gary loves to play golf.
Above all else, Gary and Tami cherish time with their parents, children and grandsons. Furloughs are spent driving across the country to spend time with everyone, and they love every minute of it!

Tami and Gary were sent out from Friendship Baptist Church, in Huntsville, Alabama in 2011, after serving as Associate Pastor and Youth Pastor at the church for 14 years. Pastor Rick Johnson has been a mentor and close friend for almost 50 years. Having a strong, loving sending church has been a great source of stability and encouragement for them.
One of the things that Gary has enjoyed most, was the opportunity to use his love of baseball, as a former college player and high school coach, to reach young men and coaches for Christ. Tami loves first graders. She uses her platform as a teacher to share the love of Jesus with her students and their parents on a daily basis."

Our Missionaries of the Month are Gary and Tami Byrd! "The Byrd’s serve in the city of La Vega, in the heart of the Dominican Republic. It is often referred to as “the seat of Catholocism” in the country. It is a city of about 280,000 people, with only a few Gospel preaching churches. The focus of our ministry is 2 Timothy 2:2 “And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.” We seek to evangelize, disciple and equip spiritual leaders that will reach others for Christ. The Lord has allowed them to plant one church, revitalize another existing church, and now they have established a Haitian mission within La Vega as well. A key part of the strategy is to model and teach the impact of a Godly marriage and parenting on those around you. Tami teaches in a local Christian school, while Gary trains the men and women to disciple and serve in the local church."
