Baraboo FFA Alumni and Supporters

Baraboo FFA Alumni and Supporters We value agriculture as an essential part of society. We value the impact of a teacher on a student' Schools are facing increasingly tight budgets.

FFA Alumni play a very important part in keeping agricultural education and FFA programs in our local schools. FFA relies on... its alumni to garner support for FFA from their local communities, raise funds for chapter activities and scholarships, assist at FFA leadership camps and conferences, and much more. As an Alumni we support and promote the students and help guide the students down the pat

h to success. As local Alumni we are in a unique position to ensure that the local agricultural education program and FFA chapter have the resources they need. Being in FFA opens up a world of opportunities for students to travel, make new friends, and prepare for exciting careers in the world of Agriculture. Students need your encouragement to get involved in FFA Activities to help them become premier leaders, experience personal growth, and find career success. We are especially in need of your help by becoming a part of the Baraboo FFA Alumni. The name of the organization is a little misleading in that you do not have to be a former FFA member to be involved in our organization. All you need is a desire to help students learn about the world of Agriculture, become involved in and enjoy the many areas involved in Agriculture. We welcome all community members that desire to mentor our youth to be the best they can be.

So proud to highlight our final amazing leader of the year 💙💛 Meet your 2025–2026 Baraboo FFA President!

“Hello! My name is Lilian Schell and I am currently serving as your 2025-2026 Baraboo FFA President.

I have been actively involved in FFA for 6 years! I have expressed my passion for leadership growth and agriculture through FFA by participating in events such as Day on the Hill, 8th Grade Career Day, Flapjacks For Farmers and Friends, and so much more! FFA has not only been a great experience for me to learn more about myself, but also to grow my skills and knowledge about agriculture.

During my 6 years in FFA, I have served on 2 officer teams, first as the 2024-2025 Treasurer and now ending my term as the 2025-2026 President. These last 2 years on the officer team have been incredibly impactful and a great way to connect with others. Along with this, I have competed in several competitions such as my LDE, Discussion Meet. I had the opportunity to compete at Sectionals, which was a great experience to continue improving my public speaking skills!

After graduating, I will be attending MATC this upcoming fall to earn my associates degree in Photography. Along with this, I will continue my job at Rustic Stories Photography / Sage Media, working as an assistant to grow my knowledge and experience as a photographer.

For all underclassmen and upcoming seniors, my advice to you is to never stop challenging yourself. Challenges will arise throughout high school and even after school, and it’s easy to be afraid of what’s next. Don’t be afraid to try new things and enjoy every moment you get, whether it’s in FFA, school, or new opportunities!

I would like to thank the Baraboo FFA for allowing me to experience the best 6 years through my time in this club. I wish the best of luck to the chapter and all of our members! Thank you for creating so many memories throughout the years that I will forever cherish! 💛💙”

So proud to highlight another amazing leader in our chapter 💙💛 Meet your 2025–2026 Baraboo FFA Reporter!

“Hi, my name is Jonathan Tapp. This year, I have been serving as your 2025-2026 Baraboo FFA Reporter.

I have been involved in FFA for two years, and in that short time, I’ve jumped into every opportunity available. I have competed in the Dairy Cattle Evaluation CDE and Employment Skills LDE for both years, as well as participating in Parliamentary Procedure for one year. These competitions challenged me to think on my feet and communicate effectively, skills I know I will carry with me long after I take off the blue jacket. Starting FFA later in high school pushed me to make the most of every moment, and these events helped me realize how much I enjoy fast-paced, hands-on environments.

My Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) is in Outdoor Recreation, where I work as a groundskeeper at Dell Pines Campground. I’ve always preferred being active and outdoors, and through this position, I developed a strong sense of technical problem-solving and facility maintenance. Learning how to manage large-scale outdoor environments and ensure a high-quality experience for visitors has given me a great foundation for my future career.

My favorite FFA memory by far was attending the 2025 Wisconsin FFA Convention. Being there with my team was an incredible experience; the energy of the sessions and the time we spent together outside of competing are things I’ll never forget. I’m going to miss the friendships and the constant push to grow that this chapter provides.

After graduation, I plan to pursue a career as a full-time Firefighter/EMT. To further my medical training, I will be attending Madison Area Technical College to pursue a degree in Nursing, with the ultimate goal of serving my community in the emergency medical field. My advice to underclassmen is to jump in headfirst—don’t wait for the “right time” to join a team, just do it.”

So proud to highlight another amazing member of our chapter 💙💛 Meet one of our dedicated Baraboo FFA members!

“Hi, my name is Jackob Albrecht and I am a current member of the Baraboo FFA Chapter.

I have been a member of FFA for 5 years. During this time, I have participated in many events such as the Fruit and Wreath Sales, Flapjack for Farmers, and I have been involved in the Agronomy CDE for the past 5 years. All of these events have taught me how to use my public speaking skills and knowledge of the topic to think on my feet.

My favorite FFA memory is winning the Agronomy CDE event. Over the years, my team studied really hard and we finally won. Through all of the practices, I learned how to become a better leader for my team.

After graduation, I will be attending the University of Wisconsin–Madison in the fall. There I will be studying Animal & Vet Biosciences. I aim to pursue a career as a veterinarian and eventually open my own practice.”

So proud to highlight one of our amazing leaders 💙💛 Meet your 2025–2026 Baraboo FFA Vice President!

“Hello!! My name is Leyla Turner and I am currently the 2025-2026 Baraboo FFA Vice President.

I have been involved in FFA since my freshman year. Ever since my brother joined FFA, I was dragged into events and got more involved in 8th grade. During my sophomore year, I was asked to apply to become an officer for 2024-2025. I agreed and ran as the sentinel, which I served my junior year. With this opportunity, more doors have opened for me. I went to National Convention, State Convention and many events. I saw more growth within myself during my junior year and wanted to keep growing, that’s why I ran for Vice President this year!

My number one FFA memory is meeting new people and everyone I work with. The officer team this year has grown and we’ve gotten more comfortable with each other. We are making great memories together. I’m so thankful for my team this year, especially since it is my senior year.

Throughout my years serving as an officer, I worked on my beef production SAE (Supervised Agricultural Experience). My experience started when I was a little girl. I grew up on my family farm, which once was dairy but was switched into beef production since it was easier on my grandpa and family. My main goal on the farm is making sure the calves are taken care of. This includes feeding milk, changing bedding, feeding grain, and making sure they are healthy and safe. I used to be more involved but with my personal life, it’s been hard to get over there.

My life after graduation is to go to college and get my associates degree in criminal justice and law. When I grow older and if that’s the field I go into, I want to become a Criminal Psychologist. I’ve always had a strong passion for learning and pursuing psychology. I want to be able to help and understand people.

Some advice I would give underclassmen is don’t let people change who you want to be. A lot of people change just to fit in or be viewed a certain way. Just be yourself and don’t care what others think.”

A little sweetness for the ones who keep everything running smoothly 💛🍎🍌

For the past few years, we’ve had the honor of treating the amazing office staff at JYMS & BHS—and it’s something we look forward to continuing. You work directly with our FFA students and families every single day, and your impact does not go unnoticed.

Happy Administrative Professionals Day to the ones who keep it all together, support everyone behind the scenes, and do it with care and dedication. We appreciate you more than words can say!

Thank you for everything you do 💙💛
