For our third Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE), we will take a look at our 2026-2027 Baraboo FFA Treasurer, Olivia Holtz’s SAE in Agriculture Careers. Olivia has had the opportunity to explore various career fields in the dairy industry. She has job-shadowed and observed many local farms and businesses to see how they operate. Olivia has gotten to visit small family-owned farms, large corporate dairy farms, job shadow with a dairy cattle breeder, visit an organic-based farm, learn about crop cultivation, and many others. She enjoys exploring the diversity in the dairy industry and learning about potential career and education pathways. This is Olivia’s third year working on her SAE, and she can’t wait to have more opportunities!

⭐️2026 Section 6 Fall Leadership Workshop⭐️

🚌On Wednesday September 16th, 17 Baraboo FFA Members traveled to Waupun High School for the Section 6 Fall Leadership Workshop.

👔Members participated in workshops geared toward officer roles, leadership, and FFA. We are so excited to see all the great ideas and plans our young leaders bring back to our chapter!

For our second Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) Sunday we will take a look at our 2026-2027 Baraboo FFA Vice President Lane Lindloff’s SAE in Landscaping. Lane runs his own landscaping business where he mows lawns, w**d whips, trims bushes and other tasks for various properties across Sauk and Columbia County amounting to nearly 55 acres of land he maintains. His work consists of not only hard work but consistency and commitment to each customers property. Through landscaping, Lane has learned a variety of skills relating to business management through tracking income and expenses, invoicing his customers and managing receipts and inventory. Lane has also gained experience in various equipment repairs and machine usage which will greatly help him in his future career as an agricultural technician.

BARABOO, Wis. (WKOW) — Baraboo's FFA chapter has doubled its high school membership from about 30 to 60 students in just three years.

Washington Leadership Conference Day 2 involved large group and community group sessions in the morning planning our “Living to Service” projects to bring back to our chapter and school district. In the evening, we went on a night tour of DC involving the Vietnam War memorial, World War II Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, MLK Memorial, FDR Memorial and the 6 men raising the flag at the Arlington Ceremony.
