What an incredible day for future homeowner Tia! Ideal Crane Rental, Inc. generously donated their labor and equipment to get the trusses up this morning. Volunteer firefighters from Pardeeville Fire Department Village of Pardeeville ably assisted. We cannot be more grateful for their help on this critical task. Thanks also to Hartje Lumber, Inc. for assisting in getting the materials here so timely!

Today, the WCCU Credit Union team took to the community for a massive day of service called "𝑳𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑶𝒖𝒓 𝑽𝒂𝒍𝒖𝒆𝒔 𝑫𝒂𝒚" alongside Habitat for Humanity of Wisconsin River Area.

Indigenous Peoples' Day reminds us of our responsibility to steward the land we share and protect the well-being of everyone who calls it home.

Our crew spread out across three local areas to put those values into action:

𝘽𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙤 𝙍𝙚𝙎𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙚: Organizing and preparing sustainable home goods to fund future affordable housing projects.

𝙋𝙧𝙖𝙞𝙧𝙞𝙚 𝙙𝙪 𝙎𝙖𝙘 𝙒𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙨𝙚: Clearing brush and maintaining our spaces, honoring the tradition of caring for the physical land.

𝙋𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙖𝙜𝙚: Teaming up with local Portage Fire Department volunteers to install life-saving smoke detectors, ensuring safe, protected homes for our neighbors.

Indigenous communities have long taught the importance of looking out for the next generation and protecting our communities. We are proud to honor that legacy today with sweat equity, plenty of smiles, and a shared mission.

More photos are coming, but enjoy these photos of our brush clean-up activity. They filled FOUR trailers before the first hour was up! We are truly grateful for their service.

Last call!

We had two cancellations for our FREE event with Portage Fire Department. We're replacing smoke detectors on Monday afternoon in the Portage area.

So this is your chance to be a part of it!

Go to https://tinyurl.com/portagefire to sign up.

Having a working, nonexpired smoke detector is SO important for your family's safety!

Don't miss this chance to have the pros check your system!
