Thank you for supporting the AL. Ringling Theatre!

🤝 Today we announce how much we raised from our November 19th Give Back Sunday! This event raised $710.00 in donations to go to benefit Al. Ringling Theatre , built by AL. himself to showcase the arts in Baraboo 🎭

These funds were raised from the silent auction hosted by Baraboo Steampunk , 10% of the brewery event sales, and direct donations at the bar. Thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of our Give Back Sunday event ❤️

📆 Remembering the “Boys from Baraboo.”

138 years ago today, the Ringling brothers opened their great circus here in Baraboo, just a few blocks south of the AL. Ringling Mansion. Today, this site is now where the US Post Office building and Pemberton & Englund Law Offices LLC. building resides on Broadway Street, but you can see the plaque commemorating the Ringling Brothers Circus on their front lawn. May their amazing legacy live on for many years to come! 🎪

🔍 “On May 19, 1884, on the site, the Ringling Bros. Circus was first presented. The tent was 45' x 90', seating 600 people, admission 25¢. The entire personnel, including the brothers, was 24. The show left Baraboo on nine farm wagons to start a career by which the Ringlings became America's greatest showmen. The show grew to 90 railroad cars and 1400 employees; truly, the Greatest Show On Earth. Erected by Circus World Museum, 1984.”

Special thanks to Pemberton & Englund Law Offices LLC for allowing us to share the plaque location of this historical Baraboo site!
