We join Rotarians across our district and beyond in mourning the loss of our District Governor, Serge Poulin.

Serge led with humility, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to Service Above Self. His passion for Rotary, dedication to mental health causes, and genuine care for every member left a lasting impact on our district and the countless lives he touched.

We were looking forward to welcoming Serge to visit our club's meeting this month. His legacy of leadership and service will continue to inspire us in everything we do.

Head on up to Ellsworth this coming Saturday for some delicious pancakes! You’ll see many of our club members there to support our friends at Rotary Club of Ellsworth,Maine!

Our banners are up, and we're getting ready to welcome everyone to the Rotary Club of Ellsworth's Annual Blueberry Pancake Breakfast this Saturday!

A big thank you to our dedicated Rotarians for helping spread the word and preparing for another wonderful community event.

THIS SATURDAY, AUGUST 1ST
⏰ 7:00 AM – 10:00 AM
📍 Under the big tent at the Down East Family YMCA

Bring your family and friends and enjoy all-you-can-eat blueberry pancakes, sausage, juice, and coffee. Gluten-free pancakes will also be available!

We look forward to seeing everyone for a delicious breakfast, great fellowship, and an opportunity to support the Rotary Club's service projects in our community.

Congratulations to our own Dr. Richard "Dick" Fox on being recognized by the Bar Harbor Town Council for 25 years of dedicated service on the Bar Harbor Housing Authority Board.

Dick's commitment to service extends far beyond this remarkable milestone. As a longtime member of the Bar Harbor (MDI) Rotary Club, he has spent decades making our community stronger—from volunteering at the Fourth of July Pancake Breakfast & Seafood Festival to supporting countless local organizations and causes.

We are proud to call Dick a fellow Rotarian and grateful for his unwavering dedication to our community. Congratulations on this well-deserved honor! 👏

The 4th of July in Bar Harbor is unlike anywhere else.

You know that. We know that. And thanks to Working Maine, everyone now knows that!

We were so proud to welcome Ryan & Crew to volunteer at our Pancake Breakfast & Seafood Fest and cast a spotlight on all the hard work our team does to prepare for this massive community event run entirely by volunteers each year.

If you grew up attending all the Bar Harbor 4th of July events, this episode is worth a watch (and likely won't leave you with dry eyes! The nostalgia is REAL!)

What a day!

Our volunteers went from starting before sunrise to serving thousands of locals and visitors at our Annual Pancake Breakfast & Seafood Festival, and this community showed up in a big way.

Every pancake, every lobster roll, and volunteer hour donated helps the Bar Harbor MDI Rotary Club invest back into our community through scholarships, youth programs, nonprofits, and local service projects throughout the whole year.

To everyone who attended, volunteered, sponsored, or supported us—thank you for making one of our favorite traditions another incredible success. We couldn’t do it without you.

2PM update: Clean up crew!! It was another successful seafood fest on the 4th of July in Bar Harbor, courtesy of your Bar Harbor (MDI) Rotarians, The Ellsworth Rotary Club (who sent several club members who stayed all day!!!! they are SAINTS!), and so many of our friends!

Yours truly has been going strong since 4AM on coffee duty and is feeling ready for a lobster roll, ice cold water, and jump in the lake! 🦞

1PM Update: RANDOM DOWNPOUR! Didn’t seem to last long, but it was actually a welcome weather change for our hardworking volunteers and I’m sure many of those who are walking around enjoying all of what our town has to offer on this hot summer 4th ☀️

We’re now all dry here and still have mostly everything except for watermelon and soda 🍉. We’re here till 2, or whenever we run out - whichever comes first.
