Banning Woman's Club The Banning Woman's Club began in 1904. Our fundraising support local students/local organizations. Yearly dues are just $30. Please join us!

For info on renting the facility call Banning Cultural Alliance 951-294.4214 The Banning Woman's Club meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 12 noon for a Tea & light lunch that is provided by our members. Meetings are held at the Banning Woman's Club house at 2nd and Hays in Banning. We have wonderful programs and opportunities to learn about our community's past, present and future. TO REN

Join the Banning Woman's club on June 13th for a "Salute to America - 250 Years of American Fashion" We thank the San Gorgonio Pass Historical Society for providing memorable fashions. This will be held at The Banning Woman's Club 175 Hays St. Banning.

Our Guest Speakers were Jillian and Monica from “Harmony Haven children and Youth Center. They shared info on Harmony Haven that impacted us all. One of our members ended up sharing her story being a Foster Child who at 17 finally was placed with a family who treated her just like their birth children. They did not kick her out at 18. They became a whole family. The extend family also accepted her. We had another member who shared how her grandmother took in Forster Children.
We had a very tasty lunch provided by our members. Yes, we did have our President updated members on items keeping the club running. Debbie F. talked about our upcoming “Salute to America 250 Years of American Fashion” on June 13th.

We held our April meeting on 14th. Fran led the Flag Salute and Phyllis read our “Thought for the Day”. We celebrated one member’s birthday “Stella”. Our Guest Speaker was Elizabeth Gibbs – Banning’s new City Manager. Debbie presented a “Certificate of Life Membership” to Dorothy. Debbie, has been a busy lady. She organized a fund raiser for the club. Thru Fundrive.savers.com. By donated x number of items, the club receives money for our community donations. The club thanks the following members for donating items for the drive – Charlene, Lillian, Gloria, Joy, Fran, Phyllis, Lauren, Stella, Dorothy, Helen, Deborah, Anna, Zelyne, Cathy, and Debbie. Dorothy provided her garage to store the items as well has labelling the boxes etc. Debbie even drove the truck.

Next meeting is May 12th at noon. Come by and see what we are all about.

Our March meeting began with our Flag Salute led by Sue B. Phyllis read our “Thought for the Day” – Woman Embowing Woman! We honored our March Birthday member: Charlene.

We talked about the History of Woman Empowering Woman. March 8th was international Women’s Day. Did you know the first meeting of Internation Woman’s Day was in March 1911.
Each table received a Word Search and they worded as a team. The first table that completed the search received a treat. OK Table 3 won – they each received a box of Good & Plenty’s. Take a look at the sheet and see if you can find the words.
Our next meeting will be April 14th.

We had an amazing meeting on February 10th. We started with our Flag Salute which was led by Sue B. Phyllis read our “Thought for the Day”. Two guests were introduced – Lauria and Amber. We honored our February Birthday members: Fran & Lynette. We also honored Deborah whose Birthday was in January and I forgot to mention it back then. We had some great moments at the meeting. Zelyne sang with the members singing along and even dancing. Zelyne will be performing at The Farm 2 Fork Café on February 28th. Deborah and Colleen shared some history facts about growing up in Banning. We surprised Helen with naming her “The Woman of the Year” We played “Black History BINGO”. Colleen won first place and Debbie ended up getting a prize for having the least number of spaces covered (she had one). Overall, we had a wonderful meeting.
Our next meeting will be March 10th.

The Banning Woman's club will be holding their next meeting at Johnny Russo's next Tuesday January 13th at noon. We will be honoring our founders and past presidents. Pat Murkland our Historian will share info on one of out Founders.
