Sunday was a heartfelt and memorable celebration at Grandfather Vineyard & Winery as the winery officially dedicated its new bridge and honored the many Wine Club members and donors whose generosity played a critical role in the property’s recovery efforts.

The Tatum family and Grandfather team welcomed hundreds of supporters with open arms, creating an afternoon filled with gratitude, fellowship, delectable bites, and plenty of exceptional wine.

The event served as a powerful reminder of the strength of community and the unwavering support that helped Grandfather Vineyard & Winery move forward during the challenging chapter of Hurricane Helene. The bridge stands as more than a structure—it symbolizes resilience, partnership, and hope for the future.

Cheers to many more successful seasons ahead! 🍷

Our goal is to create a strong network of mentors and mentees who can support one another, share expertise, and strengthen our local business community. We hope you’ll join the conversation!

What a beautiful way to celebrate a new business in our community! Saturday’s ribbon cutting at Callista Flower Co. marked the grand opening of owner Marley Turbyfill’s charming storefront in downtown Newland.

✨ Commercial Member of the Month
Highland Pro Clean is a family-owned and operated business. Kenneth Johansen started this company in 1978, providing quality residential home cleaning. Unfortunately, Ken was diagnosed with cancer in 2011, so he had to leave the day-to-day business in the hands of his son, Andrew. (Don’t worry, Ken went into full remission after his wife, Gretchen, and he completed 2 years of Gerson Therapy).
Our current services include window cleaning, gutter cleaning, and pressure washing.

Window Cleaning
What better way to lighten your mood than to be able to see the beautiful world around you through sparkling clean windows!? We can even get those high, hard to reach windows with ladders up to 32ft and a water-fed pole system.

Gutter Cleaning
This service is recommended for your yearly spring clean up. Keeping your gutters cleaned out is a very important part of your home maintenance. Overflowing, clogged gutters can lead to foundation erosion and water issues, reducing the value of your home.

Exterior Cleaning
We provide exterior cleaning for your home, decks, and outdoor furniture. Let us scrub away that mildew, algae, and grime!
We are fully insured, carrying both Workers Compensation and General Liability coverage. We stay up to date with improved cleaning methods by continuing education and keeping our certifications current.
