The new Monthly Character Recognition Program celebrates students who demonstrate strong character traits throughout the school year, recognizing positive qualities that may not always show up on a transcript or scoreboard. Each student who is nominated receives a certificate and a prize.
How It Works: Each month, we will spotlight a different character trait and invite BHS Staff to nominate students who truly embody it.
For the Month of May the Character Trait is Resilience.
During a recent assembly, the following students were recognized as being nominated by a teacher for Student of the Month for May:
Kale Lamb
Douglas McConnell
Michael Nevis
Issac Hannah
Evan Kok
Hayden Gibson
Meaza Wilson
Lauren Jansen
Holly Evey
Bridget Jimenez
Madison Turner
The Top Student of the Month for May, representing Resilience, is Madison Turner. Her teachers said: “lots of hardship and keeps on working hard” and “Dealing with loss and still being a positive student and staying on top of her homework and sports.” Congratulations Madison!
