Together Place's Gardening Committee (Growing Place) along with the excellent Food AND Medicine will be planting our raised bed tomorrow (June 16th). The vegetables we grow will go directly to our in-house diner that feeds members of the recovery community at no cost. We are calling on volunteers, recovery allies, and community members to join us at our 2 Second Street location and help us plant.

🍃 This is a great opportunity to join Growing Place and learn from skilled gardeners (like the folks at FAM).

🍃 Volunteering at Together Place has lots of benefits, like learning the recovery landscape, finding community, picking up new skills, and getting useful experience.

⏱️ WHEN: Tuesday (June 16th) 12:00pm-2:00pm

Due to the heavy rain and inclement weather, we have made the decision to postpone today's Community Cleanup. The safety of our volunteers is our top priority.

Our ✨ Community Cleanup ✨ is in just a few days (6-15-26 @11:00am)! We anticipate it will be an excellent project and we plan to have lots of contributors like folks from BARN, Brick Church, Savida and others. The cleanup is a great opportunity for our community members to make a sizeable, direct impact on the quality of our beautiful city.

🧹 The details of when, where, and how to attend the event have been already been posted on our page.

🧹 Together Place has printed out a number of flyers available to anyone who would like to help us get the word out at our physical location (2 Second Street, Bangor). Please feel free to ask desk staff for a physical copy.

Today we worked on birdhouses and painted rocks. It’s amazing how something as simple as making art together can bring comfort, joy, and a sense of community.
