We are down to days now before CHCS opens our new Crisis Receiving Center - a safe, welcoming place where anyone in our community experiencing a behavioral health crisis can walk in and get immediate, compassionate support. No appointment. No waiting room chaos. Just care, the moment it matters most.

These photos show how far this space has come. Designed around a comfortable "living room" model - with quiet rooms, showers, and a caring team of nurses and clinicians - it will be open around the clock for our neighbors in Penobscot and Piscataquis counties. This week, the furniture arrives and the final touches go in before we welcome our first guests.
