Providing Home Health, Hospice and Mental Health Services to people in central, northern and eastern Our services are provided 24-7, 365 days a year.

CHCS is both a Medicare/MaineCare certified home health agency and a comprehensive community based behavioral and mental health provider. We work in collaboration with other health care providers to assist people in accessing care that can help them transition from and/or avoid more intensive and expensive forms of health care services.

Something big is taking shape in Bangor, and we want you to see it. 🏗️

Our Crisis Receiving Center is on track for a July opening, and construction is moving fast. Every week, we get closer to a place where anyone in behavioral health crisis can walk through the door and be met with care — no barriers, no wrong door, no turning anyone away.

This is what Care Without Barriers looks like when it's built from the ground up.

CHCS has been connecting children with loving foster families for 70 years. Our treatment foster parents receive training, 24/7 support, and compensation — and every day, they help children heal from trauma and find stability.

Over 2,000 children are currently in state custody in Maine. Some of them are waiting for a family like yours.

Our mobile crisis team can meet you where you are — by tele health or in person — no insurance required.
