To all of our newest members of the Bangor Children’s Dyslexia Centers Winding Staircase Donors, we are currently working on getting submissions in for everyone who made a qualifying commitment for your Green Teddy Bear ties and scarfs! Once these arrive we will contact you individually to arrange a meeting and photo shoot of you and your ties!

Amber Robinson and her husband Chris have accepted the challenge to climb the Bangor Children’s Dyslexia Centers Winding Staircase to become a Golden Tie donor and the center thanks you so much for your dedication!

On Saturday evening the Bangor Children’s Dyslexia Center held our 1st Annual Banquet.

85+/- were in attendance comprised of friends, family, colleagues, masons, teachers, students and business owners all in support of the fight against dyslexia and our center! To everyone who attended thank you so much for choosing to spend a Saturday night with us.

I am proud to announce that our center was able to raise over $100,000.00 thanks to the generosity of our attendees donations, table sponsors, silent auction, and numerous commitments from individuals, couples and businesses willing to climb the winding staircase to a $10,000.00 contribution!

Thank you to the brethren of Lynde Lodge #174 for preparing a wonderful meal and donating the labor costs! Thank you to the numerous parent volunteers who solicited silent auction items and delicious desserts!
Thank you to one young student who raised more than enough money to sponsor a table! Thank you to the 85+ attendees some of which travelled from hours away!

congratulations to John Lord, Jay Suttter, and Pete Forest who received special recognition for their extensive contributions and dedication to the Bangor Children’s Dyslexia Center over the last 25+ years. Our amazing center director Laurie Marcotte also received special recognition for 10 yrs of unwavering support and dedication as our center director!

I’m confident it’s safe to say our event was a huge success, we all hope to see you next year for our 2nd Annual Banquet!
