We have officially received our first in-hand bag donation for the 5th Annual Evan's Veterans Tournament on Sept 20th @ The Sports Arena

Today we got to take part in a wonderful community event in Winterport some really cool local agencies.

We were the “judges” of the bean bag lawn darts game. We also brought along some cards for the kiddos to do while they waited for their turn!

There were about 40 kids in attendance, some of which were little littles. And we had about 40 cards made for our veterans by the end of the day! What a really easy and fun way to get the kids involved in our project!

It was also cool to watch Evan tell his peers about his project and watch the excitement on both ends! Evan’s little project is getting legs, and it’s making an impact!!!

This is SO cool!!! Evan got a package in the mail today from a local summer camp.

The kiddos there learned about Evan’s card party and decided to make some cards of their own!

Thank you to the kids at camp kooky- you are helping make a positive impact in other people lives! 💕

Evan’s Veterans will be there tomorrow having lots of fun! What a great way to get the community together for a great cause!!!

ANNOUNCEMENT (with updates)!
August 15, 2026, 1-4pm at Abbott Park
Winterport Cub Scout Pack 234 and Argonne Post 138 will be hosting an end of summer BACKYARD OLYMPIC GAMES.

See below for details:
• Free Admission for Child Olympiads (and their guardians/families)
• We will have several tournament style games that each child can participate in.
(e.g. nerf gun target shooting, shot put, bean bag darts, etc.)
• Several of our local first responders will be on hand for Touch-a-Truck and demonstrations.
• We will have a food truck or two (or three) and local organizations at the grill

Hand Made Trophies made by Veterans will be awarded for each of the games for Gold, Silver, Bronze.
We will also have other prizes and award certificates to hand out.

We don’t share obituaries often, we like to share more happy things. But we’d by lying if we said all the veterans we send cards to don’t mean something special to us. We were so sad to hear of Pats passing as we were getting ready to send out her august birthday card.

Evan has sent Pat cards for the past couple of years. She has even written him back a time or two. Pat was a legend and it was an honor to be a small part of her birthday and holidays the past years.
