Evan’s Veterans Project

10/11/2026

On top of getting ready for our second 🎄card party, planning for Veterans Day 🇺🇸and the awesome project at Box Of Maine we are doing, and working on our thank you cards 💌from the tournament, we took a little time to get the birthday gifts 🎁 ready for the Maine Veterans' Homes - Bangor October birthdays!

This year we got to shop for 15 veterans- their gift requests ranged from gifts cards to their favorite spots, jeans, blouses, lounge pants, sweaters, and plaid shirts.

Each gift was found at the best price so we could get the most bang for our buck with the outlined budget🥳. Most clothing items were were able to find 2 sometimes 3 requested items and still stay in the budget!!! We also added a little special home made gift from Evan and his crew too. 💝

Now we anxiously await the birthday party!!!! 🥳 🎉🎊🎈

Thank you for supporting our project and our vision so we can do all of the amazing things we do! Days like this are so fun- and proof that giving is WAY better than receiving!! ❤️🤍💙

We had a record breaking tournament this year!!! THANK YOU to everyone that showed up, and who worked hard behind the scenes!

Some fun facts:

Evan’s veterans project year to date after the tournament: $13962!!!!

After payouts and boards we added just about $4100 to our total for the year which was incredible!!!

We had 36 teams (72 players).

And a record breaking approx. 56 non-players in attendance. That’s a record breaking attendance!!!!

A record breaking 13 veterans present for the photo- plus 2 more that came later!!! (We need to improve this number folks!!! ;))

We are making a bigger and bigger difference every year- and that’s only with the help of our community!

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. This little homeschool, family project has really bloomed into something incredible.

We’re not done yet for 2026- we have some other cool things brewing for you all!

We are so excited to share another big announcement with you all!

With the official nonprofit status, and his very own bank account, Evan’s veterans Project now has a board of directors!

We are so blessed to be in this next chapter together with some great friends, and like minded individuals!

From left to right:
Alan Craig Beatty: secretary
Julius Anthony Murano IV: vice president
Ada Ginn Hunter: treasurer
Tylor Hunter: president
Cory Schildroth: Director of youth engagement

Alan and Anthony are veterans themselves, and both come to us with experience and knowledge of the nonprofit world.
Cory keeps us tied to our co****le roots, and has an amazing background being an advocate for many youth who need a positive role model in their lives.

Thank you all so much for joining us. Hang tight everyone- this next chapter is going to be GREAT!

We missed Alan Kienow and Trevor Palmer yesterday! This was the first tournament they have missed since the beginning!!!

Al was away for training before his upcoming deployment, and Trevor was on the honeymoon of a life time in Hawaii!!!!!

Evan couldn’t let the year go by without a photo opportunity with them in the best way we could! 💕💕

See ya next year boys!!!
