Every day....

Good Evening. What a wet day!!! It finally did dry off.

We started the day off in Hermon at the FedEx warehouse. We hadn't been over in a week or so, there was a good size lot of stuff. Usual paper goods, beverages and snacks, clothing etc. We were lucky enough to put a lot back on out for the day's deliveries.

We had a new Villager pop in today to see how we do things. "Carly" She was able to assist with the loads going out and also managing to put the FedEx order away!!

A Villager dropped off her weekly order of canned pasta and some bags we use all the time.

New updates for Blessing Bag needs 682 cans of pasta (pop lids)
180 Vienna Sausage
500 individual pudding cups

New Week...

Good Evening! Not too bad a day considering the storms we had yesterday. Tank spent his time under chairs!!! (picture posted

Today, I spent the day taking a couple of orders for tomorrow. Trying to get ready for tomorrow and just organizing.

Still looking to get the "fixins" to make up 900 (or more) food bags. We are going through many bags, and have started not to send out as many as the case managers would like to have.

Shaw's is having a sale on canned pastas. 10/$10 several varieties - Chef Boyardeee. We would love to shop for you if you want to get funds to us. Or MaineSpace office staff will gladly take in your donations for you.

Men's boxer briefs still are a major necessity. Size 12 men sneakers. All women's underwear needed.

We need your CLYNK for helping our Warming Centers this upcoming Winter. In less than SIX months, winter will be here again and we will be having homeless just trying to survive a Maine Winter. Yes, your bottles and cans are so desperately needed. We also are going to pre-stock up on coffee, creamer, sugar, oatmeal pack cups and snacks with at least a 6 month shelf life.

Gratitude in advance

Good Evening. After all the rain yesterday it was a very pleasant day with a decent breeze. Tomorrow, depending on what weather forecaster you listen to..it could be anything (but snow lol)

Yesterday was treatment day so hence no postings at all. This morning was also limited work (and many afternoon naps). We had a special order for a size 13 boot homeless person with other items needed but the agency couldn't pick them up. That bothers me because I know this person is without proper footwear and needed a rain poncho in the worst way. Ugh.

Then I got to see what our Church Group ladies did for hygiene packets. They made up 100 bags!!! Thank you ladies so much. And they put them neatly away for us also.

Then I went CLYNKing again. 8 BAGS!! I decided to do it today because this weekend will be a resting weekend because I have a busy week ahead plus another treatment over at Cancer Care.

Please, if you are shopping this weekend can you pop in your cart a few extra canned pasta cans or if you are paying bills pop us a check to shop for those items? Thank you so much.

Don't count the days..

Good Evening...ahhh another perfect summer day. Tomorrow....not looking too dry. But let's get the rain out of the way and have a sunny weekend.🤞 Or at least part of one.

Today was FedEx day. Two full car loads. FULL. I wasn't 100 % today so I was very grateful for the Villagers that loaded my car up. We got back to MaineSpace and started unloading and sorting. We had a few items we knew we could barter for coffee (which I did around 2PM). Made local deliveries that we barter for other items also. We also had a few "mother lodes" of boxes filled with supplies for our upcoming Warming Centers. These Warming Centers will be opening. Within 6 months no less.

After all the unpacking and delivering, I collected 6 CLYNK bags. 100% of these funds go to feeding our outside homeless that head into the Warming Centers on a cold winter night here in Maine. Our famous night time nurse got out last week and pulled in 10 more bags! Thanks

We had $15 come in on Venmo last night towards our canned pasta and vienna sausage drive. Devon's Kitchen is running a drive/drop off for these items also. Grab a honey bun or a casserole while you are there!

I have treatment tomorrow so I am not sure if I will make it on line, but I will try to stay in touch.

We all need to feel

Good Evening! Another perfect weather day. With any luck tomorrow will be a repeat. 🤞🤞

Last night we received $50 electronically from our Villager in Florida. Thank you.

Today was our usual pick up day for the shelters and agencies. No FedEx today. I got word about 1:30 AM that our folks weren't able to get it together so hopefully tomorrow.

Gio and his Great-mom came in to get the orders going for pickup by 8 AM. Blessing bags, coffee, creamer, sugar, cereal, hygiene products, sneakers and as always..if you name it, we got it sent out. Gio made up bags for toilet tissues for the upcoming weeks for our outside folks.

Then I put out a bullet with 2 items that are needed for the next order of Blessing Bags. Canned Pasta and canned Vienna Sausage. We are running out of Blessing Bags to hand out and will have to start to drastically cut back if we don't get enough made up soon. Pasta and Vienna Sausage are our top two items needed. We can even shop for you to probably get a better deal and save you time.

Good Evening! What a wet start to the morning and work week! Tuesday and Wednesday are looking pretty good for right now.

This past weekend was a R & R weekend for me. I had more naps than I ever can remember. Yesterday, I met a Villager up to MaineSpace and we collected items for her church group ladies to make Hygiene bags up. The mental telepathy modes must have been in high gear because one of our Saturday Blessing Bag Villagers and probably our #1 Villager in organizational skills messaged me as to if I needed help in the hygiene room for the church group!!! Oh my goodness!!! YES.

She popped in this morning and went right to work. I just have to give her my "rough" idea and she goes in and does her magic. Plus this allowed us to get extra supplies needed for the shelters tomorrow morning! After she stayed and worked on another problem area!!! Love it, Love her and LOVE all of my VILLAGERS!!! What great feeling knowing what we have in inventory/

Got another 2 flats of canned pasta in the mail over the weekend!!! Thank you again! We are getting ready to start thinking about another round of Blessing Bags so canned pasta and canned vienna sausages will be top on the list!!! Please any assistance will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!

One thing we are going to need a lot of is NEW underwear regular sizes. Men's boxer briefs Small-XLare. Women...sizes 5-10s. We are going through a ton of underwear and I know it is due to our increased of outside homelessness.

Important updates below..

Good Morning. Another muggy day, around 100% humidity. Temps in the high 80s and chance of some rain. Weekend doesn't look too bad, only Mother Nature knows.

My sincere apologies for no post Wednesday and Thursday evening. Wednesday was a middle school graduation and Thursday was the first day of my infusion part of my CLL. I have been on chemo pills for 3 weeks and they added the infusion part yesterday. I ended up with a rather bad reaction. All is well now and I head back for the second treatment this morning.

Many thanks for donations coming in Wednesday afternoon. Some Canned pasta from a Villager. Then another Villager sent in a case of misc supplies for Blessing Bags. Puddings, canned pastas and crackers/peanut butter. Thank you all for everything!!

Yesterday I had 2 different agencies needing air mattresses. 2 immediately and both needed to be battery operated or an air pump donated with them. One situation is a mother and son sleeping in a truck and outside if the weather is decent. 4

I will need to get to MaineSpace this weekend to pull supplies to get things ready for a group next week that are making Blessing Bags at their church hall. Also I will check out any donations dropped off in the past few days.

Be the hope....

Good Evening! A gorgeous day. It even ended up in the upper 80s! Tomorrow there will not be as much sun but it will still be very warm.

Today started out at the FedEx building. We had 2 full cars with a bit more to be picked up tomorrow. Grateful as always. We received coffee, sugar, cereal (always needed) canned goods, snacks galore, paper goods etc. As always the list goes on and on.

Then orders to go out. Blessing bags, a couple of backpacks, socks, underwear galore (we have never seen so much underwear go out each week!) Cereal, coffee, sugar, creamer, drink mixes, pancake mixes, syrups, canned goods..also..list just goes on and on.

Cereal donations and snacks came in today.

We worked a bit in the food unit today for more organization. Tomorrow I am going to try to get the "FedEx" unit somewhat organized. I need to do it tomorrow because I am out for Thursday and Friday.

Hope is the...

Good Evening. Perfection, perfection of a day. It was in the 40s when I started out and in the early afternoon it was around 80 degrees. And low humidity. Doesn't get any better than that. Tomorrow looks like a repeat.

Today I was going through lots of food donations over the weekend. Thank you Villager.(s) By noon I had 3 orders for tomorrow already.

Then we handed out 10 cases of socks through the Bomba program. This means 14 cases thus far have gone out to different programs. The sock fence lady is coming in for her cases shortly. She has them bagged up and they put them out in a fence and the homeless know to go there for a spare, dry pair of socks.

Got word that a church group of ladies are going to assemble hygiene bags next week so I had to make sure we had enough inventory and order what we didn't.

CLYNK early today. 3 large bags. (no pictures. I want to collect as many as I can, early this week because Thursday-weekend I am going to be tied up.

We may have news coming up on how more folks can help. Stay tuned.
