PechaKucha was started in 2003 by Klein Dytham Architects as an opportunity for designers of all stripes to present their work. The idea is to keep presentations concise, interest up and to have many ideas to share in one evening. The 20x20 PechaKucha format allows each presenter a slideshow of 20 images, each shown for 20 seconds. The total presentation time of 6 minutes 40 seconds on a stage bef

ore the next presenter is up. PechaKucha Night is an opportunity for people to show off their creative work and accomplishments to the community. Thank you to everyone who filled the atrium at the Bangor Public Library last Friday for the 23rd volume of PechaKucha Night in Bangor. It was a fun night of creativity, passions and fun – and it was so great to see so many conversations sparked by the presentations. Hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!

When our audience really connects with a presentation, they let us know. To see the standing ovation they gave to Alyne Cistone at PechaKucha Night Bangor Vol. 21 was a joy to behold and so well deserved. We're very excited to share it with the world. Enjoy!

Alyne Cistone is a Kenyan-born lawyer now a management consultant with Eaton Peabody. With the use of humor and stories, she hopes to share some of her experiences growing up in Kenya and some of the challenges of living here in Maine.
