CAUTION!! We have been made aware of an ongoing scam in which bad actors are fraudulently using Habitat for Humanity’s name and logo to offer free roofing or repair services. Ads are circulating on social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. These scammers direct individuals to non-Habitat websites to apply, collecting personal information that may lead to identity theft, as well as risk to Habitat’s reputation.

We are thrilled to announce that Jody DeBolt Bourassa has been named our Volunteer of the Year! Jody truly has a heart for Habitat and we couldn't be more grateful for the many ways she has embraced our organization and supports our mission. Beyond serving on our board of directors, Jody chairs our ReStore Committee, volunteers in the ReStore every week and is currently coordinating other volunteers for our house build. BIG thanks to Black Bear Crane for donating their services and to the top-notch set crew of Al Benner Homes for moving and placing our current build made possible by the Eastern Maine Community College Building Construction and Fine Woodworking students. So grateful to have you all on our team!

Congratulations to these impressive Eastern Maine Community College students who placed in a national skills competion. Several have worked on this year's Habitat home build in Bangor. Our partnership with Eastern Maine Community College Building Construction and Fine Woodworking has been invaluble to our organization and the families who now have a safe and affordable place to call home!

Our skills team did great at nationals!

Carpentry placed 3rd
Cabinetmaking placed 7th
Automotive service tech placed 10th
Pin design placed 16th

They all did an amazing job! They represented our school and state very well!

Sierra will be our president next year and we look forward to another great year!

Grateful for the shout out during Heart of Maine United Way’s Week of Action and for our volunteers from Maine Savings! Together, through a home repair project, we were able to assist a senior homeowner which will allow them to safely remain at home.

The project assistance is part of the organization’s Week of Action, helping with projects such as accessible ramps for homes and outdoor gardening renovations, free of charge.

In March, Cars for Homes sold 1,857 donated vehicles, generating more than $2.3 million in gross revenue for local Habitat for Humanity affiliates across the country. These donations make a huge impact on our ability to build homes and increase our critical home repair program.
