Area 14 Soirée Recap: Pitch Your Product to Santa 🎅🎄
It was Pitch Your Product to Santa night—think Shark Tank, North Pole–style—at the Area 14 Soirée, hosted by Bangor Pine Tree Toastmasters. Elves were hard at work pitching their products to Santa, who unfortunately had room for only two items on the sleigh!
First up was Carl, pitching the magical Chimney Slip, an invention that allows Santa to change size to fit any chimney. He hinted at the 7th dimension, but mercifully spared us the details in the interest of time.
Next, Mary, an active Toastmaster at the impressive age of 102, pitched Listerine. Thanks to this minty marvel, she’s enjoyed several blind dates and a proposal in just the past week! Her message was clear: we could all use a little Listerine.
Elizabeth had everyone ready to ditch coal for the Made-in-Maine Geo Stash—because why settle for coal when you can have treasure instead?
Do you like to knit? Rebecca introduced us to the knitting fork—a battery-free, ageless tool you can even take camping. Just add yarn!
Visiting from KVTM, Jamar pitched O-Santic, straight from the North Pole Pharmaceutical Company. With O-Santic, there’s no need to worry about holiday indulgence—eat what you want, the pounds simply disappear.
Emily showcased the versatility of the Emotional Support Scarf—part scarf, part blanket, part pillow. Not dressed for a Zoom meeting? Wrap it around yourself and voilà—camera ready and emotionally supported.
Greta shared the benefits of a specialized corkscrew, perfect for champagne and sparkling wine bottles—and even useful on a seltzer bottle. No broken bottle necks here!
Finally, DJ pitched the perfect pet: a small stuffed dog designed to chase away the holiday blues. Just squeeze its belly and it laughs—some might say maniacally—but it definitely takes the doldrums away.
After brief evaluations from elves Paula and Janet, it was time to vote. The two items Santa will be taking on the sleigh this year are Mary’s Listerine and Jamar’s O-Santic! 🎁✨
It was a truly festive soirée that put everyone in the holiday spirit. Thank you to Bangor Pine Tree Toastmasters for hosting such a creative and joyful event!
