Bangor Greendrinks 2nd Tuesday, 5-8pm
Greener By The Pint! The goal is to gather a lively mix of people interested in environmental and sustainability issues. All are welcome.

With its beginnings in 1989 at a pub in North London, Greendrinks gatherings now take place in over 525 cities in 51 countries and counting. It’s a great way of catching up with people you know and also for making new contacts. Everyone invites someone else along, so there’s always a different crowd, making Greendrinks an organic, self-organizing network. Greendrinks gatherings usually take place monthly on a fixed date and are simple and unstructured with generally no agenda or theme. Many people have found employment, made friends, developed new ideas, and done deals. For more information on Greendrinks International, visit www.greendrinks.org. Bangor Greendrinks is part of the international Greendrinks network. Greendrinks is a free family friendly gathering. Everyone who loves the natural environment is welcome to join. Greendrinks happens on the second Tuesday of every month from 5:00pm to 8pm at a new location in the Bangor area. Cold b**r and good food are always on hand. The goal of Greendrinks is simple: good times shared among people working in, or interested in, environmental and sustainability issues. We are so excited to bring Greendrinks to the Gracie Theatre for the first time! If you’ve never been, you’re in for a treat as it is a gorgeous space, and a top notch venue for the arts right in our backyard.

From our hosts:
“The Gracie Theatre is conveniently located in the heart of Bangor, right off Broadway. We boast a beautiful 490-seat theatre and proudly operate as a presenting theatre and cultural center for the Greater Bangor community. We host a range of events each year including cultural groups, popular bands, comics, and family programs which make up a robust season with something for everyone. Various organizations rent the space for programs ranging from dance and fundraisers, to conferences, speakers, and educational programs. The Gracie also serves as a learning platform for students from the New England School of Communications studying digital audio, live sound, sound mixing, and electronics.
The event will be held in the Darling Atrium which is part of the venue and also serves as the gathering space for patrons to enjoy concessions, and to pick up tickets at the box office. Our WBRC gallery of featuring rotating artists will be open, and a short tour of the theatre will be available for those interesting in seeing “behind the scenes” around 6:45pm. Information about the Gracie’s 15th season will available as well. We look forward to hosting you!”

Orono Brewing is graciously providing the beverages- bring your cup, or we’ll have our custom Greendrinks pint glasses available for $7. We will be carding at the front table, so bring your ID!

Greendrinks is a free family-friendly event. Donations are welcome, and all funds raised go towards our Green Grants- micro grants for local environmental and community projects.

The Gracie is at 1 College Circle on the Husson University campus in Bangor and there is ample parking.

See you at the Gracie!
