Our mission is to promote and advance a vital, healthy business environment. It is currently one of the largest Chamber’s in the State offering a range of programs to its members and the public. Our program of work includes business development, as well as advocacy efforts and community betterment programs. We provide direct programs to our members including trade shows, seminars, networking oppor

tunities and leadership development. Our healthy worksite initiative has been extremely successful - in the spring of 2006 we were recognized as this nation’s first "Well Region.”

As one of the State’s oldest Chambers we work to insure we remain relevant to the needs of our members and our region. The Chamber is truly a regional chamber representing businesses from our 21 communities: Bangor, Bradley, Brewer, Carmel, Dedham, Eddington, Glenburn, Hampden, Hermon, Holden, Hudson, Kenduskeag, Levant, Milford, Newburgh, Old Town, Orono, Orrington, Penobscot Nation, Veazie and Winterport. If you are new to our region, please make use of our relocation tools and services. All of our towns and cities are distinctive in their appeal, offering families a range of community types, all with an outstanding quality of life. This Chamber is the voice of the business community working each day to promote a favorable business environment and a high quality of life. While their hospital is being completed, they are looking to hire a variety of roles—both in clinical and non-clinical fields. Meet Rachel Gloria Adams, the artist painting Bangor's next mural! 🎨

Rachel Gloria Adams is a multidisciplinary artist living in Portland, ME. Adams has developed a vibrant, graphic pattern-based visual language filled with references to the natural world and motherhood that posses an heirloom quality. Her work takes form by way of quilting, painting, design and murals.

She moved to to Maine in 2005 to pursue her BFA from the Maine College of Art and Design. She has gone on to exhibit artwork at the Portland Museum of Art, Space Gallery, Center for Maine Contemporary Art and Dowling Walsh. She has attended residencies at Speedwell, Pace House and is an Indigo Arts Alliance David C Driscoll Fellow. In addition to her studio practice, Adams has been commissioned to create murals for several institutions including the Children’s Museum of Portland, Farnsworth Museum and Worcester Art Museum.

Adams will be painting the large Community Mural at 2 Hammond Street in the center of downtown this September.

We had the honor to celebrate the new BIGGER location of Living Innovations in Maine as they continue to grow! Did you know they currently have 18 locations in Maine??

At Living Innovations, they put the people they support at the center of all they do. Whether it’s finding a shared living space, helping them find a job, and offering new experiences and the chance to live a good full life, Living Innovations does it all.
