Yesterday, neighbors, businesses, volunteers, and supporters showed up across central and eastern Maine to support those facing cancer. The numbers are in:

📦 2,900 packages of healthy food collected
💵 $2,701 donated by 246 generous supporters
🙌 94 volunteer hours staffing collection sites
❤️ Countless mission moments shared by people whose lives have been touched by this work

Again and again, we heard stories like: "You helped my family, my friend, or me through treatment last year. Here's a donation to pay it forward."

Those moments remind us that nourishing food is more than a meal—it’s comfort, strength, dignity, and hope during one of life's toughest journeys.

How lucky are we! Crush Cancer Lobster Crawl 5k came out today to the “Food Drive - Facing Cancer With Nutrition in Machias!

Every summer they host a remarkable event where folks run, walk, and “lobster crawl” their way to the finish line, all while supporting cancer patients. CBF continues to be a beneficiary of their fundraising success, and we are honored to use these funds to offer cancer nutrition services across Washington County.
