Just curious... How much rain must fall and what group of people must get drenched before Maine State Government would tap into its record-setting $902 million Rainy Day Fund?

Bangor and many other communities face worsening crises around homelessness, substance use disorders, overdose deaths, a rise in mental illness, and alarming su***de rates.

It's been pouring on those impacted by these crises for years. Again, how much precipitation needs to fall and who must it land on for the fund to be tapped?

Deadly overdoses fueled by the growing presence of fentanyl.
