The Bangor Farmers Market Mural is done! Thanks to everyone who helped design and paint it, and Bangor Greendrinks for funding! Come check it out at the Farmers’ Market, every Sunday, May to November from 11:00am-1:30pm, across from the library!

Tonight we held our Monthly Gardening party at our pollinator hedge at the Good of the Hive Mural. June is National Pollinator Month and this hedge provides critical habitat for the insects that pollinate our plants and food.

Wednesday 6/3, 5-6PM: Come get your hands dirty for our monthly garden party at The Good of the Hive Mural at 47 Park Street. 🐝🌼

Thursday 6/4, 6-7:30PM: Join us to watch, “The Extraordinary Caterpillar,” at The Bangor Public Library. 🦋

Saturday, 6/6, 12PM: Don’t miss, “Who Lives Along the Stream?” a family-friendly, observation-filled walk along the Kenduskeag Stream with Fields Pond Audubon Center Naturalist, Melissa Gallagher (Meeting Place: Kenduskeag Stream Trail). 💧🐟

With help from some tree-loving Bangor Beautiful volunteers and the City of Bangor's Forestry Division, 16 native trees and 64 native shrubs were planted on Main St, right outside of the Maine Savings Amphitheatre. The native oaks, maples, serviceberries, and fragrant sumacs will not only shade the sidewalk, keeping it cool, but will support our downtown pollinators, too! 🐝🌳
