Happy World Ocean Day from SEA.

It was warm enough at Simpson Reef yesterday to keep the female Elephant seals flipping sand on their backs.

If the wild Puffins are hiding, you can always see them at the Aquarium in Newport…

SEA's interpretive season is underway!

Please come out and visit us at Face Rock State Scenic Viewpoint in Bandon on Saturdays and Sundays from 9am-11am through the end of July to catch some great looks at seabirds like Tufted puffins and Common Murres.

SEA volunteers will be at Simpson Reef Overlook in Shore Acres State Park just out of Charleston from 11am to 3pm every Friday, Saturday and Sunday through Labor Day Weekend. We will have spotting scopes up to help you get fantastic looks at marine mammals like Harbor seals, California and Steller sea lions and on a lucky day maybe an Elephant seal.

We will also be hosting tidepool walks at the Coquille Point Marine Garden in Bandon twice a month through August. The next tidepool walks will be during the low tide June 17th and 18th.
