The Madrona Garden & Social Club is an open-to-the-public club that is a balance between fun outings and educational meetups that typically meet at St. Christopher Episcopal Church in Bandera, on the third Thursday of the month.

NO FEES TO JOIN OR ATTEND -- so feel free to bring along a friend or family member anytime you like. The more, the merrier!

FREE Class on Water Stewardship Aug 18:

The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service in partnership with the Bandera County River Authority and Groundwater District is pleased to provide the Local Water Resource Stewardship Workshop. This program will provide education focusing on protection efforts on the Sabinal and Medina Rivers, groundwater management and protection, invasive species, and the flood warning system to protect landowners during flood events.

The program will be held at the Utopia Senior Citizens Center in Utopia on August 18th and will be free for all attendees.

Registration will begin at 8:30am and the program will run from 9:00am to 11:30am. Attendees with Private Applicator Licenses will also receive 2 CEUs (1 IPM, 1 GEN). Please RSVP for this event by August 17 with the Extension Office by calling (830) 796-7755.

You may know them from Beyond Bread Bakery & Crazy Lady Farm at the Sage Gardens Farmer's Market. James and Heike bring a wealth of knowledge to their presentation. 2:00 at Bandera United Methodist Church, potluck lunch to follow. Visitors welcome!
