Local 12U Softball Team Wins NSA Northern World Series Championship
Crown Point, IN — July 22, 2025
A group of determined young athletes from Mid-Michigan are now national champions after capturing the title at the NSA Northern World Series. The Crown 12U softball team, composed of players from the surrounding area, went undefeated throughout the weeklong tournament, showcasing grit, teamwork, and championship-level talent.
Facing fierce competition from across the Midwest, the team rose to the challenge with clutch hitting, dominant pitching, and flawless defense. Their hard-earned victory in the championship game capped off a perfect run and marked a historic moment for the program.
“This group of girls has worked so hard all season. They’ve put in the time, stayed focused, and truly played as a team,” said Coach Justin Nieto. “To see it all come together on this stage is something they’ll never forget.”
Families, friends, and supporters were out in full force, cheering on the team as they hoisted the championship banner and celebrated a season that will go down in local sports history.
