Camp Shiawassee Y Camp Campers will enjoy canoeing, archery, fishing, arts and crafts, and the BB gun range.

They will also have a chance to slide through the mysterious Black Hole at scenic 181-acre Camp Shiawassee.

What a great start to World Cup Sports Cup week! We have USA (Littles), Portugal (Middles), and Brazil (Bigs) competing in a variety of events this week.

Yesterday, each group learned fun games with Songbird, created amazing soccer fields in fort building (see videos in the comments), and played an intense game of Balloon Stomp against the counselors.

Today we played a ton of relay games (and learned that Rocky can limbo), caught frogs, did more fort building, hiked the trails, and played the largest game of Sharks & Minnows we’ve ever seen!

Our campers are so much fun, and we love spending each day with them!

The Shiawassee Family YMCA and Camp Shiawassee are thrilled to introduce our new Camp Director, Rachael Cupples! Rachael brings a ton of experience in the arts and working with kids. Campers and staff welcomed her today, and she jumped right in leading activities and playing games. It's going to be a great summer!!

On our final day of Week 1, we attempted to cram in as many things as possible. We started with the playground, making pipe cleaner butterfly rings, having a special group with Izzy, kickball, and disc golf. And that was all just before lunch!

Once we made it to Devries, we saw snakes and chickens and turtles (Oh My!), explored the trails, dug a huge hole in mud, and played some soccer.

Believe it or not, these kids STILL had energy to hit the playground again while waiting for pickup!

On Water Wednesday, we stayed cool(er) with the pools, giant Slip N Slide, sq**rt guns, and the Black Hole. We also allowed our Middles and Bigs to give fishing a try with Skippy. They caught so many fish but we only got one fish photo! 🐠

On Thursday, we had free choice activities in the morning before heading to Campgrounds R Us for Lake Day! The sun was hot so the water felt great, and there were so many other fun things to do there!
