Today, the global Ignatian family unites to celebrate the feast of Saint Ignatius of Loyola (1491–1556), the founder of the Society of Jesus.
Ignatius’s story didn't begin with grand visions of a religious order, but with a shattered leg on a battlefield in Pamplona. In his long months of recovery, trading books of worldly chivalry for the lives of Christ and the saints, he discovered the subtle art of discernment: noticing where deep, lasting joy truly lives.
Wherever you are today, take a quiet moment to pray the Examen, reflect on your journey, and ask where God is inviting you to step into greater freedom and service.
Happy Feast!
