Bromo Seltzer Arts Tower

Bromo Seltzer Arts Tower The Bromo Seltzer Arts Tower The historic Bromo Seltzer Arts Tower is a beloved icon on the Baltimore skyline.

Built in 1911 by the Emerson Drug Company, the Tower was originally capped with a fifty-one foot rotating model of the signature blue glass bottles of Bromo Seltzer (this was removed in '36 for structural concerns). In 1969, the building was donated to the City of Baltimore, and was used to house various City offices until 2006, when the Tower was purchased by Bromo Seltzer Arts Tower LLC, a coope

rative between philanthropists Eddie & Sylvia Brown and the Baltimore Office of Promotion & the Arts, and extensively renovated to create thirty distinctive working studio spaces for artists.

You may have noticed the time change on the Bromo Seltzer clock as we jump start to standard time. As a reminder, don’t forget to fall back one hour tonight.

If you want to get a close up of the clock room or ever wonder how we change the time on the clock, feel free to visit on Saturdays from 11 am-4 pm. We also house the history museum and Maryland glass room and art exhibits and art studio spaces where you can collaborate with artists in this facility.

We hope to see you soon.
