Baltimore VA Toastmasters Club #8369
The Baltimore VA Toastmasters Club was chartered on August 1, 1991. To charter, clubs normally need twenty (20) members to be committed and paid in good standing. Of course there have been many who have come and gone, but the club still remains and is active. Initially, the club was in the Baltimore VA Hospital only, as there was no VA Maryland Health Care Sys
tem (VAMHCS) until 1995 or so. The club has always been an open club, and over the years, we have had members from the University of Maryland Hospital, the Baltimore City Development Council, Bon Secours, a local homeless shelter and even Louisville, Kentucky! Our club is a part of District 18, which includes Maryland, and parts of Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia.
