Juneteenth reminds us that some victories are worth waiting for and that even in the face of uncertainty, faith can carry a people forward.

Today, we honor the resilience of those who refused to give up hope, celebrate the progress born from their sacrifices, and reflect on the responsibility we have to leave our communities stronger than we found them.

May this day inspire gratitude for our journey, appreciation for our heritage, and a renewed commitment to service, unity, and lifting others as we climb.

This Memorial Day, the officers and members of Maggie C. Upshur No. 53 honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Because of their sacrifice, generations have been blessed with freedoms many often take for granted.

Today, we remember the heroes who never returned home, the families who carry their memories, and the courage that continues to inspire this nation. Their service and sacrifice will forever hold a special place in our hearts.

As we gather with loved ones today, may we also pause for a moment of gratitude and remembrance for those who gave everything for us all.

For April, we showed up and served our community through two powerful initiatives:

🍽️ Our Monthly Breakfast Outreach — making sure people are fed, seen, and cared for
🌎 Earth Day Cleanup — now in our 4th year of cleaning, replanting, and pouring back into the spaces we share

This isn’t new for us… this is our commitment.

We don’t just talk about community — we get outside, get our hands dirty, and make a real impact. Year after year. Month after month.
