The Sisters of Nia Maryland Graduate Chapter proudly volunteered during the 24th Annual Ricky Myers Day of Service, hosted by Civic Works (Civic Works)

Our sisters joined community volunteers in Harlem Park to help beautify the neighborhood by cleaning up public spaces, picking up litter, and helping create a cleaner, more welcoming environment for residents and families.

Service is at the heart of our commitment to community. Through our collective efforts, we continue to uplift our communities, promote civic responsibility, and make a meaningful impact—one neighborhood at a time.

This Black Philanthropy Month, Swing Phi Swing Social Fellowship, Inc. celebrates the power of collective giving, service, and community investment.

From scholarships and educational initiatives to community outreach and supporting those in need, our sisters continue to turn compassion into action. We believe philanthropy is more than giving—it’s about creating opportunities, strengthening our communities, and building a legacy that empowers generations to come.

We give. We serve. We uplift. We build. ✊🏾🖤

🖤❤️💚 Happy Juneteenth from the Nia Maryland Graduate Chapter of Swing Phi Swing Social Fellowship, Inc. 🖤🤍

Today, we honor the legacy of freedom, resilience, and perseverance. Juneteenth commemorates June 19, 1865, when the last enslaved African Americans in Texas learned of their freedom, marking a pivotal moment in American history.

Last week, our sisters had the honor of attending the Presidential Distinguished Speaker Series at Morgan State University, featuring the legendary Angela Davis.

An inspiring and thought-provoking experience, it was a powerful reminder of the importance of activism, education, and continued advocacy for justice and equality.
