⚡️Virtual Session: ERGs as a Business Asset: Driving Impact from the Inside Out

🗓️June 17, 4pm ET
📍Virtual on Zoom

Zoom link will be shared with registered attendees ahead of the event.

ERGs are integral to how inclusive, high-functioning organizations operate. They shape employee experience, inform culture, and surface perspectives that drive better decisions at every level. This session brings together ERG leaders and corporate partners to explore how ERGs can realize their full impact.

About the ERG Year-Round Experience
The NAAAP ERG-Year Round Experience is open to our ERG partners. The experience is intended to create year-round conversation, energy, and engagement so ERG leaders don’t have all of the planning and production weight on their shoulders.
The resources and templates shared during the event can help ERG leaders leverage the content from these live events to deepen their year-round engagement.
For example, if NAAAP offers a live quarterly event around Impostor Syndrome, an ERG can then leverage the resources to create a lunch-and-learn or internal panel with their own ERGs for more discussion.
The year-round experience is also designed to complement Leadership Convention and NAAAP Chapter events.

Who is NAAAP?
NAAAP’s mission is to inspire, cultivate, and empower Asian and Pacific Islander leaders and allies for professional excellence to make a meaningful impact in our workplace and community.
With many partners and sponsors in the corporate space, we have a programming track dedicated to Employee/Business Resource Groups. This track invites ERGs to learn from each other, network, and leverage these events to inspire and engage their members year-round.

About NAAAP Baltimore Second Thursdays
The NAAAP Baltimore Second Thursdays program brings together AAPI professionals to socialize, hear from local leaders, and learn about upcoming events and opportunities. Every month, we celebrate local businesses owned by Asian and Pacific Islander Americans, especially restaurants, as anchors of the APIA community in the region.

As our Second Thursdays continue to support local AAPI businesses, please do not bring outside food/drinks. Second Thursdays: AAPI Meet-ups are open to members and non-members. Guests are responsible for their own food and beverage purchases.

🥐 Featured Food and Drink
This Second Thursdays will feature chicken and eggplant adobo from (https://www.instagram.com/barkadabreads), a small local Baltimore City operation that specializes in Filipino cuisine. Since Barkada means "friend group" in Filipino, Barkada Breads is a homage to all the friends and friend groups Chef Mona has met along the way.

In support of the theme for 2026's AAPI month, "Strengthening Communities Together," join us as we celebrate artists from the Baltimore area who are showcasing their work in the Asia North 2026 exhibit and strengthen our local community. Whether you are new to our community or already part of it, our event is welcome for all! Our Second Thursdays program brings together AAPI professionals and local leaders and provides further insights about about upcoming events and opportunities. We look forward to having you join us!

Second Thursdays: AAPI Meet-ups are open to members and non-members.

About "Shoes at the Door," Guest Curated by Dylan Kaleikaumaka Hill
Every household is familiar with the pleasures and pains of hospitality. Hours of unseen preparation yield specialty dishes and spotless interiors for strangers and family alike. For many of us who are part of the APIMEDA (Asian, Pacific Islander, Middle Eastern and Desi American) community, guests are not expected to do anything, but leave their shoes at the door. This simple act–rooted in respect and ritual–demonstrates the way in which hospitality creates space for communal exchange. Shoes at the Door brings together works by seventeen APIMEDA-identifying artists living in the greater Baltimore and DMV region whose artworks consider hospitality as a malleable practice shaped by diaspora, cultural tradition, inheritance, colonial commodification, and celebration.
