Our Kwanzaa Celebration was welcomed by all as we celebrated the spirit of Umoja (Unity). We want to thank everyone who came out and supported. Special thanks to The Roots of Scouting board, Sankofa Emma, Baltimore Rites of Passage Initiative and Baltimore Association of Black Social Workers. Additionally we like to thank The Y at Waverly, Tonja Soulfood, Grandma Edna, Baba Jamaal, Mama Yaa, Baba Ibrahim and the African Drummers and Dancers… Harambee!!!

Many members of Baltimore's Black community gathered at the Weinberg YMCA to celebrate the first day of Kwanzaa.
