Over 20 years ago I was arrested on felony charges. For over 20 years I was a convicted felon, however, I didn't live as a convicted felon. I live/lived as a man that works hard to provide for his family and give back to his community in the best way possible. Today, I stand in the parking lot of the police station where I was detained. When I posted bail the officer told me that " I would be back. You all come back." It was at that moment in 1995 that I made myself a promise. I learned patience, tenacity, how to move and cry in silence, and how to believe in your dreams.
Today, I kept that officer's declaration and returned to the precinct . Only one catch though; I didn't return as a felon in cuffs.
I'm not sure who this will encourage but if you've set a dream or a vision in motion , believe in yourself and create a door if the door you want to walk through is locked.
