We could probably think of about a thousand reasons to come visit us at the Overlea ArtsFest tomorrow (Sat. August 10th) but the truth is you only need one — it’s going to be FUN! 🥳 Don’t we all deserve to take a little break and have some fun?

Juried Art Shows 🎨 for all ages. Original works are all for sale, plus there’s an awesome line-up of work available at 💸 Silent Auction!

Kids and family activities all weekend long (like DIY kaleidoscopes 🌈 and crafting fairy furniture! 🧚)

Overlea ArtsFest is honored to host as a visiting artist at this year’s festival. 🧶 Not only will he be bringing a special selection of artwork for display and sale, but he has generously offered his famous “Art en Estambre” workshops to attendees free of charge! Previously featured at Baltimore favorites and , these hands-on demonstrations are truly one of a kind.

🎟️ Pre-registration is strongly encouraged due to the materials required. We try to make sure everyone who wants to participate has an opportunity to do so, but space is limited!

The Overlea ArtsFest curatorial team is hard at work hanging this year’s Juried Art Shows in the main gallery. 🖼️ Our call for art went out far and wide for Maryland artists submissions, and what an incredible response we received!

Painters and printmakers, sculptors and photographers; artists of all varieties are represented in the 2024 show. Stay tuned for a gallery sneak peek 👀

While 🍩 are always a win, the bigger win would be for everyone to check out the last slide and Lucy’s story (and so many other kids like her). Her bday is coming up 🥳 and you can send/deliver her bday cards + pictures 💗. There’s a cute pink “🐝 Kind” 📪 in the shop (pictured).

It’s been 🥵… here are some of our fave ways to stay cool here in the NE that don’t involve going to the pool 🏊🏼‍♀️ or beach 🏝️ (even though we 🩵 both)!

1️⃣ Playin in the creeks… from Double Rock Park to Gunpowder Falls and more, there’s lots to explore! 🥾🌲🐟
2️⃣ 🍦on Bel Aird Rd
3️⃣&4️⃣ Backyard hangs… baby aka 🐶 pool (don’t tell him he forgot the 💧) & running through the sprinkler like a 90s kid
5️⃣ Reading is cool! And reading to 🐕 is even cooler! 📚shoutout to the Parkville branch ☺️

“Hey there 👋🏽 I’m Ali (she/her) aka 🌅👸🏻🎨. I’ve lived in MD 🦀 (almost) my entire life and have been a Bmore resident for about 15 years. My family 👩🏻‍🎨👩🏾‍🚒👧🏽🐕🐈 has called Parkville home for the past 8. I’m typically pretty private so someone must have added “doing a guest takeover” to my 2024 Bingo card when I wasn’t looking. We spent the afternoon at the YMCA. 🏋️‍♀️🏊‍♀️🤸‍♀️We are right in between the Waverly location and Parkville, so we get the best of both! Today we headed to Parkville to let the little monkeys burn off their extra energy in the climbing gym, and I burned off that big mama burrata! 🍕 💪🏻🏃🏻‍♀️💨
