Bubba's Blankets 3rd and final delivery was this afternoon at UMMC Greenebaum Cancer Center inpatient and bone marrow transplant unit.

We are blessed to have the opportunity to bring Jimmy's legacy to life each year. Blessings to every patient I had the privilege to gift today. Moving forward to health.

Bubba's Elves have been busy..

Dropped first delivery to Joel for The EVAN Foundation on Friday.

Second delivery today was at Stoler Pavilion @ UMMC Greenebaum Cancer Center.

I visited with many patients, thanked the many nurses (some took care of both Jimmy and Kathy) and dropped treats off for Tia and her front desk staff and the phlebotomy team. The unsung heroes of cancer treatment.

Today was our last community pickup at St Christopher's Preschool. Jimmy's nephews went to this school and what a jump-start to kindergarten they provided.

Bubba's Blankets Supporters:

Today we are kicking off the 2025 blanket campaign. We will be collecting blankets through December 13th.

As you all know, Bubba's Blankets was started by Jimmy Myrick Jr as a comfort to all cancer patients after he received a blanket that improved his comfort and spirits during inpatient treatment for blood cancer.

This year, we are also remembering my sister, Jimmy's Aunt Kathy, as she recently lost her battle with AML. Aunt Kathy was an instrument of comfort and strength to Jimmy and us during his blood cancer journey. If you donate this season, keep Kathy's 2 daughters and our entire family in your prayers as we navigate losing another family member to blood cancer.

We are looking for the following:

1) Children's/Teen print 50x60 or 36x48 super soft fleece blankets. Our partnership with The EVAN Foundation has a high demand as they expand their Treats and Treasures Carts. We are setting our goal for this season to a minmum of 500.

2) Adult print 50x60 for inpatient (fits perfectly on hospital bed) and 36x48 (lap blankets) for outpatient (so that they can carry back and forth to treatment) We are setting our goal for this season at 300.

Today's last Elf delivery of 2024 was to Greenebaum Cancer Center.

Personal deliveries to inpatient floors N8 & N9 and drop off for bone marrow transplant unit. 250 total!
