Today, we remember those lost on December 7, 1941 in service to our country.

Baltimore is still proudly connected to that date as she is home to the last remaining warship afloat who fought at the attack on Pearl Harbor.

Take a moment on your next visit to Baltimore to say hello and honor the memory of those lost during the attack, as well as the herculean effort to rebuild our sea services to win the war.

It was a great night celebrating the sea services and the nautical history and future of Baltimore!

From the display of our colors from the Sea Cadets to a fantastic overview of the Key Bridge recovery operation from RADM Shannon Gilreath who led the joint force operation to get the Harbor cleared and re-opened, we are proud to join together to honor our sea services.

Thank you to the Center Club Baltimore for being a gracious and beautiful host.

We look forward to seeing you all next year!

This Giving Tuesday, consider a gift that makes a real difference for children in the Baltimore area who believe in the sea services as part of their future.

$800 is the cost of one full year of training for a Sea Cadet.

Sea Cadets gain skills, knowledge, and confidence through an amazing variety of training opportunities. They wear uniforms, work as teams in a disciplined environment, and adhere to our core values of honor, respect, commitment, and service.

This diverse program includes seamanship, sailing, aviation, security, building robots, medical, STEM, SCUBA, submarines, photography, culinary, special forces training, and an International Exchange Program.

Make a donation today to support this program so that children who don't have the resources to participate can do so. When you do, we will send you updates from a grateful Sea Cadet throughout the year, sharing their amazing stories of growth through the program.

Visit www.baltimorenavy.org and scroll down to the donation option. Make sure you choose "Sea Cadets" so your gift targets this crucial program.

Thank you from all of us at Baltimore Navy League and from all our amazing Sea Cadets.

As our Baltimore community prepares for a new era launched by the construction of our new bridge, it's more important than ever that we don't sight of our important history as one of the nation's leading nautical cities.

Protecting the name on our new bridge that is synonymous with our national anthem matters.

Add your name as a defender of our nautical heritage and proud history as we fight to protect the naming of the new Key Bridge.

Simply visit www.baltimorenavy.org and leave your name for us to share with legislators and decision makers.

Did you know that USCGC 37 (commissioned as USCGC TANEY) is the last remaining ship at the Pearl Harbor bombing on December 7, 1941?

After fifty years of service, she now makes her home as a museum in Baltimore's Inner Harbor.

December 7 is a great day to visit the ship and witness the Baltimore Parade of Lighted Ships in Inner Harbor.

You can learn more about these events from our friends at Sail Baltimore.
