🏈✨ JGCYO x CIAA Youth Sports & Cheer Clinic – Girls Flag Football Edition ✨🏈

Today, JGCYO was honored to lead the Girls Flag Football portion of the CIAA Youth Sports & Cheer Clinic — and it was a powerful moment for the growth of the game. 🙌🏾

This year marked the first-ever addition of Girls Flag Football to the clinic. The energy, competitiveness, and skill on display made one thing clear — this is just the beginning.

Special appreciation to the outstanding partners and leaders who helped bring this vision to life:

• The CIAA Commissioner
• Tom LaNeve – NFL & USA Football Head Referee Coach for Flag Football, for his leadership and expertise

Momentum continues to build nationally. With the National Collegiate Athletic Association officially recognizing Girls Flag Football as a varsity sport, and the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association Commissioner voicing support today, the pathway for young female athletes is expanding in real time.

Each year we will raise the standard — improving development, increasing exposure, and creating real opportunity for girls to compete, grow, and be seen.

📖✨ 6 years ago, former NFL player Tavon Mason and Former NFL Player & CEO Joel Gamble created a comic series to bring real representation to the page.

As educators, we didn’t see many books that reflected our culture, our communities, or our experiences.

Inspired by the impact of Black Panther, we wanted to show kids that they can be the heroes too. 🦸🏾‍♀️🦸🏾‍♂️
