This week, we hosted our fourth workshop, and it was one of our most memorable sessions yet! Every year, we look forward to this workshop on Team Dynamics, which culminates in the official group assignments for the year’s . We loved to see the inspirational levels of energy, collaboration, and enthusiasm from Fellows as they stepped into the next phase of the Fellowship.

Special thanks to Marc Kolp and Jeremy Deighton from umbctraining, for their continued partnership and for leading such an engaging and impactful session. Their expertise and guidance helped create a meaningful learning experience for our Fellows as they explored the dynamics of effective teamwork and collaboration.

Our sincere thanks also goes to Baltimore Ravens for graciously hosting us in the Ravens locker room. Following the workshop, Fellows enjoyed a behind-the-scenes tour of the stadium, making the day even more memorable.

Our Fellows are already looking forward to the next workshop in July, and we can’t wait to see what they accomplish together in the months ahead!

This week, volunteers from Merritt Properties, LLC rolled up their sleeves at Drink at the Well Inc., supporting programs that empower women on their healing journeys.

After learning about Hon’s Honey —a workforce development program where handcrafted products are made by Baltimore women survivors— volunteers packed lunch bags for community outreach, sorted summer clothing in The Hope Chest, organized office spaces, and helped prepare resources for women and families across our community.

Thank you to Merritt Properties for bringing such positive energy and willingness to jump in wherever needed, and thank you to The Well for sharing your mission and the healing power of love with us all. 💛

For more than 20 years, Business Volunteers has helped facilitate their annual Day of Service, and this year was no exception. More than 200 SC&H employees across Baltimore City, Baltimore County, Howard County, and Harford County spent this past Friday giving back to 12 unique nonprofits in Maryland.

In just four hours, these rockstar volunteers completed weeks worth of hard work, cleaning farmbeds, clearing footpaths, preparing food, readying supplies for community art projects, and more.

Thank you, SC&H, for supporting the community so powerfully and effectively. We love working with you and hope there are many more impactful volunteer days of service to come!

We've partnered with ._rowe_price for more than 20 years, and still we find new ways to create meaningful impact together.

This spring, T. Rowe Price's WAVE business resource group (BRG) partnered with Business Volunteers to celebrate International Women's Month through two skillCONNECT events supporting nonprofits serving women and girls.

Across in-person and virtual sessions, we mobilized 45 volunteers based in Maryland and London to offer strategic pro bono consulting to eight unique nonprofits. These action-packed events resulted in fresh ideas, tangible action plans, and energized nonprofits and volunteers ready for the work ahead.

Thank you to the WAVE BRG and every T. Rowe Price volunteer who dedicated their valuable time and expertise to these events. And of course, thank you to the nonprofits who do such great work every day; we hope these sessions were helpful for you!

Last week, we hosted our workshop on corporate citizenship, and it was another engaging session filled with insightful discussion and thoughtful reflection.

A huge thank you to the Greater Baltimore Committee for hosting us in your space. GBC also graciously hosted a happy hour after the session, where we welcomed many alumni to reconnect and network. Special shoutout to our incredible keynote speakers—Rotica Lewis (MyBGE), Morgan Somerville (CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield), Kelly Tallant (Baltimore Ravens), and Tanya Terrell (T. Rowe Price)—for sharing their wisdom and perspectives on corporate social responsibility.

We’re looking forward to our next session on June 10th!

Every year, mobilizes its entire staff in a city-wide Community Day of Service, encouraging their employees to get down and dirty to help Baltimore shine. This past Tuesday, nearly 150 of Annie E Casey's team braved the 100°F heat for Community Day, doing everything from litter pickup and weeding to serving meals and sorting donations for people in need.

Business Volunteers is thrilled to have helped facilitate more than 20 of Annie E Casey's Community Days, and this one was no exception. 13 unique nonprofits benefited from Annie E Casey's generosity this week, and we are proud to be the connector agency which helped make it happen.

Thank you, Annie E Casey, for pouring your hearts into the community through hard work and thoughtful programming. We are honored to partner with you on your Community Days and hope there are many more to come!

has never been more demanding. Staffing challenges, funding uncertainty, and the ever-growing pressure to do more with less are pushing many nonprofit leaders to their limits.

We’re honored that our President & CEO Alissa Ganser will speak to this very issue as a panelist for Towson University’s Dr. Nancy Grasmick Leadership Institute’s workshop, “Leading with Resilience: Strategies for Sustainable Impact for Non-Profits.”

This interactive workshop will help nonprofit leaders explore ways to strengthen impact while protecting the energy and long-term sustainability of them, their teams, and their organizations.
