🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾💙🧡

As the District 8 Senator and a proud alumnus of Overlea High School Official , I’m excited to share that I secured $125,000 in the state budget for a brand-new stadium scoreboard.

High school athletics play a vital role in building teamwork, discipline, and school pride for our students. Just as important as the programs themselves is making sure our student-athletes, coaches, and fans have safe, reliable, and up-to-date equipment.

The current scoreboard has been a part of Overlea for decades, it was there when I graduated in 2002, making it more than 20 years old. This investment will ensure that future generations of Falcons can compete and celebrate under a modern, fully functioning scoreboard.

I’m proud to give back to a school and community that gave so much to me, and I’ll continue working to deliver resources that support our students and strengthen District 8.

🦅 Falcon Pride in Action!
Let’s hear it for John Sumo from the Class of 2004! 🧡💪

John just made a generous $50 donation to the Legacy Scholarship Fund. As a "Keeper of the Flame," John is helping us ensure that the Overlea legacy remains strong, relevant, and inspiring for all time.

Every dollar John contributed goes directly toward investing in the future of our school—supporting student scholarships and enhancing the learning environment for the next generation of Falcons.

Thank you, John, for helping us bridge the gap between Overlea’s proud past and its limitless future!

🦅 Falcon Shoutout: Connecting the Generations!
We want to send a huge thank you to Ashley from the Class of 2001 for her $50 donation to the Overlea High School Alumni Association! 🧡💪

I had the absolute pleasure of speaking with Ashley yesterday. We had a wonderful conversation about our vision for the association—specifically how we are working to enhance the student experience and bridge the gap between all Falcon classes.

It’s conversations like these that remind us why we do what we do. Ashley’s support helps us continue our mission to serve the Overlea community and ensure our current students have the resources they need to thrive through the Legacy Scholarship Fund.

Thank you, Ashley, for being a "Keeper of the Flame" and for your dedication to the future of OHS! 🎓🔥
