Send your representatives an email to demand an open cannabis market - https://linktr.ee/MDNORML

Family farms, cooperative gardens, cottage industry production, craft cultivators, and farmers’ markets need to be part of the legal cannabis industry. Limiting access to Maryland's growing LEGAL cannabis market is not in the public interest.

“Free Market Cannabis: The Case Against License Caps”

Q: Should state governments limit the number of cannabis business licenses, or should they open the doors to everyone with a viable plan and a dream?

For years we’ve fought to protect small businesses, homegrowers, cottage industry production, and legacy entrepreneurs from being locked out of a legal industry we helped create.

We've helped craft legislation, connected citizens with their elected officials, made the documentary “Weed Wars: Maryland’s Monopoly and the Fight for Free Markets” - but this battle has always been about one thing:

LIBERTY!

This includes the freedom to compete - the freedom to innovate - the freedom to participate in the legal economy and in building an inclusive future!

Come hear us break down why license caps are killing opportunity - and how a truly free market cannabis industry could look.

Maryland NORML has worked to get this important legislation passed. This was the THIRD STRAIGHT YEAR we pushed for passage.

Congratulations to Harold J Morris III, Junior Morris, and all impacted families of the incarcerated who will receive a second look - let’s stand with our fellow citizens who have been dragged into the criminal justice system through the unjust war on drugs and help them integrate back into society in a positive and meaningful way!

⛔ The law stipulates that the Maryland Judiciary Case Search database may no longer "in any way refer to the existence of records of a charge of possession of cannabis in a case with electronic records if the charge resulted in a conviction that was later pardoned by the Governor." It also expands the range of offenses eligible for expungement relief once a person has completed their sentence.

Requires state officials to automatically shield records from public view
